Well if you ask me on who is or was the one who really made it possible on making el grupo mazz, I Bellerive like everything it takes 2 to make it happen. As far as I remember going to their concerts at la Villarreal and at bocascios and enjoying ttg the hits. After the break up between joe and jimmy, one can really say jimmy made it big and won grammies, and made it to the top. Now it's on you Joe let's see what you got. Remember jimmy made it to the top 2 us after the break up.... now there you go who is who...

I am not anyone’s side or anything. Naturally because I have always heard J L associated with the M name that makes sense… but I don’t think most people realize the name Mike Gonzalez was a son of one of the OGs of the M name band. (May he rest in Peace)
So in a way I get that he deserves credit for his fathers legacy because it was not created alone by just one person.

Grammys or not …I wrote 99.9% of the memorable songs when Tejano was in its prime . They still hold up and that’s what the coat tail riders play , raza . With all respect , love Jimmy - proud of Grammys but the Mazz songs that are known are , humbly , mine .
