If, when I was listening to Zappa in the 70’s, someone had told me I’d be listening to bands do covers of his music fifty years in the future, I wouldn’t have believed it.
Just heard ad for Fremont Ohio show on NPR said Chad wackerman so checked out when I got home Wowzers good stuff seen FZ 1988 royale oak Michigan no opening band played 4plus hours 5 yes5 encores
Okay, wow, so *yes* ,I've seen it now, and thanks for the recommend !! So good ~~~ Looking forward to some (post-covid) live stuff, hoping everybody's okay, and even hoping you might some time make it out east to NYC~~~~~
Thanks again, James! Really appreciate you taking the time to check this one out, too! We're based on the East Coast, btw (DC/Baltimore area), so NY is part of our regular circuit. We're working on dates for April 2022 right now, and as long as there isn't a zombie apocalypse before then, (which isn't a given these days), we'll definitely be up in your neck of the woods. Keep an eye on our web site - dates go up there as soon as they're confirmed. thefuriousbongos.com/
Thank you! The date isn't in stone yet, but looks like mid-March will be our next trip to Buffalo. We announce stuff on our web site first, so keep an eye on thefuriousbongos.com

WOW! Been a Zappa fan since late 70s but you guys reinvigorated that fan-ness!
Love Village of the Sun - saw you guys last night at the Acorn Theatre in Michigan - April 1, 2023. Hope to catch you on your next tour.
It is amazing that there are nine people who want to play Zappa, and have the skill and motivatiion to play it, found each other.
Wow! Great job, all around!! And that lady is an exceptional vocalist!!! Those 5/8s were super tight, guys
Mighty fine work! Yes, supreme.
First I've heard of this band.

Over 17 minutes of first-rate tunez! Great basslines, Conrad. And I want some of whatever the violinist was on. 🤗
