And most of the consecration are done with Mercury because mercury can hold up energies for very long periods of time due to its high density and other properties.

Hi I have a question, we eat non veg so is it ok to keep it in our home ?
Maintain a separate space for Devi. Where there is no interference.
Can we keep Devi Gudi in same temple of other gods (ghar ke mandir) or do we need to keep her separate place just for her?
U can keep her in the same temple but, I would suggest just make a little space for her in such a way that as you sit in front of her you can clearly see her ( the gudi).. because whatever we do for devi (devi stuti or achala arpanam) is done with open eyes..

Yes sadhana space can be seperate.
You should pay respect to your dieties if they are living entities, like your Kul Devi/Devta..
As far as Sadhana space is concerned your space shall be totally dedicated to Sadhana...
