I was in Japan in September and should have arranged to hire you as my guide as I had trouble finding one of the Bookoff Superstores. I went to Oi twice but due to my house being full of wonderful Japanese items I showed great restraint and only made 4 purchases.
@ Wonderful that you fit in 2 Oi visits on your last trip here! Was it quite busy? I know you’re used to navigating that market though😊I think the Tsunashima branch of Super Bazaar might be the easiest one get to. Will you be visiting in 2025?

I very much appreciate your feedback!🥰Finding it hard to work out the kanji on those bottles, but they're called "Genzo Tokkuri" and shops used to lend them to customers buying sake. They're also called "Kayoi (commuter) Tokkuri") as they went back and forth between customer and shop. It'll be the shop and/or the brewery name inscribed in iron glaze on the front, but there were many breweries back then so your two bottles may not be from the same shop🤔
