I might as well start a tripod museum since each tripod has its own story/training arc it went through before I outgrew it. Have you guys tried the Sachtler Flowtech system before?
Thumbs up for the Ravelli! I used mine for years and still have it as a backup! I ripped the little rubber pieces on the baseplate otherwise it would be in my lineup still.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one! The rubber kept getting lost until I ended up super gluing the entire thing ahaha. The legs are still sturdy but I've swapped heads!
Thanks for sharing. Years ago, had a fellowship at the Banff Centre. We had tons of Sachtler Tripods. All sizes including HiHat! Great tripods, smooth, easy to use. 😎😎
I’m loving the sachtler flow tech! Hoping to get one for myself one day. I still use my Walmart tripod to hold up small monitors or used as a prop haha
Try a search on the B&H site today for a Sachtler Flowtech 75 you will find a combo with ball head in stock now. After being back-ordered for some time, I was able to order one Monday that’s arriving today.

Nice honest helpful review Alan. For now I'll carry on with my Manfrotto 190B with 502 fluid head... but hey! ...who knows, one day... :)
I believe that one day you'll also get one too! and Thanks for watching!

I always say buy once cry no more. I used to go all cheap but now I def can see why people pay a premium for gear
That's a total chad of a tripod for video my dude
Best tripod ever
Very informative video! Love it! Great job! Subscribed!
Thanks for watching!
Will the Sirui SVH15 75mm Fluid head fit on Sachtler Flowtech 75 legs? Thanks!
it should since it’s a 75mm bowl head. I’ve seen manfrotto 75mm fluid heads on these before
My tripod has a flat base with a 3/8 screw attached. Will this video head mount to that?
I want this exact tripod system. Where did you purchase this from? I checked B&H, seems like they don’t stock them very often.
I actually purchased it from a friend who was trying to get rid of theirs. They’re pretty hard to find right now due to the global supply shortage

Does Sachtler now made a travel fluid head?
I wish they did sadly 😥
@@alanychung Just bought the aktiv8, there really is no travel fluid head like it. oh well, better hire an assistant to carry.... lol
I WANT ONE NOW
Gotta get one!
not very useful as compares go... going from all really cheap even trash tripods to 1 very expensive video tripod.
I said the same thing when I first started video work. My friend even has a tripod that's worth more than my car. Insane
he says in the beginning he’s going to show every tripod he’s ever owned and talk about why he upgraded to the flowtech from those
