Amelia is so weird, what vet guilt trip a guy who hit a dog on accident into adopting the dog even after he tells her that his life style is no fit for a dog & that he's living on the road, what an irresponsible vet!! Also sam leaving kevin behind is super shitty

Totally agree! I HATED Amelia. She did kinda mellow out as the season went on, which is fine, but oh my God she annoyed me. Her saying he's not a "stand-up guy" because he accidentally hit a dog, even though he did the responsible thing and immediately took him to a vet? Please. What a bitch. And the sarcastic "There's my hero" remark got on my nerves too. Sam seemed totally whipped by her from the get go. I did not like her AT ALL.
The joke you said you didn't get, where Sam tells Kevin "It gets better" and Kevin replys "You know I'm not gay" That refers to the PSA that was going around at that time telling gays not to kill themselves because "It gets better"
Ah yes and now we arrive at the season the fans have affectionately nicknamed "What the fuck Sam"

@@meghnagoel6766 It was both for different reasons. Season 4 sam was bad ass, and frustrating that he was heading down the dark path, but it still made for exciting story telling. First half of season 8 is Sam being a hypocrite (Benny vs Amy huh?) and him not looking for Dean at all sucked. Like even if he looked for a while and couldn't find anything and then gave up it would have been better. I don't get why they chose to have Sam do this tbh.

Not gonna lie, I never really forgave Sam. But I fell in love with Benny
I forgave Sam by chalking it up to bad writing. I adore Benny though. He is such a good guy. Breaks my heart when Dean kind of lets him go to fix things with Sam. Benny was struggling so much and he was so alone. :(

My loss of love for Sam, unfortunately, started here. Not all of it.. but some. For abandoning Kevin, yes.. but mainly for abandoning his brother. 💔
@@nikoskn1252 I know Dean has lots of flows but I don’t see how in this situation “Dean isn’t exactly innocent either” fits..! Sam is the one who abandoned his brother & moved on without even trying to know if his brother is dead or alive!! The brother who literally raised him, went to hell for him...! & what Sam did! He left the man who sacrificed everything for him without even trying to get a closer...!
@@nikoskn1252 Nah, I’ve already finished with the show.. I watched allllll the way to the end, so there’s no changing my mind about it.. it’s a done deal. I have my reasons and hey, that’s okay.. it’s not a perfect world and these are not perfect people.

Supernatural is known for reusing actors in different roles. They've done is several times.

The first episode of the Carver era I love Jeremy Carver as showrunner for the show he brought the show literally from the brink after the disaster that was season 7 he was definitely just as great as Eric kripke

I love this season but I absolutely hate the Amelia storyline hated the character and I’m glad Jared felt the same he didn’t like the Sam and Amelia storyline and hated that Sam didn’t look for Dean he said Sam would never do that he would never stop looking for Dean but he understood it was part of the story they were telling at the time and I totally agree with him
Right, his behavior was incompatible with how he reacted at the beginning of season 4. And Mystery Spot. Both times he was militant and scary cold in how determined he was to save his brother. But now, he just drives off into the sunset going "oh well"? No way, doesn't add up

The Sam and Amelia storyline is the worst! I always fast forward through her scenes when I see reactors watching season 8.

Love this season tbh. It feels like a refreshing time from both 6 & 7 tbh. In my opinion this is where the fun begins. Can’t wait for the finale 🔥

Yeah, rewatching this a couple times now I think I could be okay with Sam not looking for Dean. Even though it's disappointing because you're so used to them going to such dysfunctional lengths for each other, I can still see it as some what okay. They did promise each other that if one of them died they go live a normal life. So I think I could learn to move on from that. It's the Kevin thing that is totally lame. Like what excuse could Sam possibly have? Not cool, Sam, not cool.

@@nikoskn1252 I agree. But, after what Sam had done the other times dean died, this was hard to comprehend. He went full metal jacket in mystery spot, although he never told dean about that. He tried to change spots with dean in hell, he never told dean that either. This was out of character but PTSD reactions are out of character. Sam was coming back to the life, obviously, as he arrived back at the shack to restart his life. Dean as usual was unforgiving, angry, all about him and how terrible it was for him. Dean did not know where he was when he arrived in Purgatory so how would Sam know? Plus, Kevin was the angels responsibility, not Sam's, surely the angels must have known the ones protecting him were killed and he was not there. Plot holes, frustrating. Sam always has to redeem himself, Dean never does, he just gets angrier, more untrusting , and for me unlikable
Onto the third showrunner. Each gets worse but this ones still good. Lots of great side characters. Love the S9-11 arch. S8 has great side characters but I hate the storylines.
This is the worst season in my list. But I still love this show!!!!
Wow really? I'm shocked. LOL I hate season 6, but I know a lot like it. I find season 7 meh, and most people hate that season the most. Honestly I think season 6 and 12, and 15 are the ones I hate the most.
