Azzi is the best pro prospect in women’s college basketball
Everybody's talking about Azzi and she deserves the praise, but the real story here is that this team has discovered just how deep they are. Three players > 20 pts and another with 16 while the PG drops 15 dimes -- with two starters out of the lineup. That is just unbelievable team basketball against a good NC State team.
Her shot is just so silky smooth, she's improved so much since last year. Can't wait to see her and Paige on the floor together.
Azzi going off this season
Azzi is a superstar...bottom line..prolly a preseason fav for POY...but how about AUBREY! Coming back from back surgery.....so athletic. reminds me of Gabby Williams...
She is the best player in the country and the supporting cast is not too shabby either.

Niki is not All American. Not a true point guard. Just had a good night distributing the rock.
She needs to work on her offensive skills. Because Uconn will need it against teams like SC, Stanford etc.

A true point guard is more than distributing assists (which is great) by the way.
A true point guard can handle the rock exceptionally with very minimal turnovers. (Not perfect as no one is)
Not only play defense but provide consistent offense as well. She isn't the whole package is all I'm saying. Each year she starts off the same with very little offensive assistance. Yes she makes it up in other areas. But she needs to take care of the ball more.
I don't know if she doesn't work on her offense during off season. Maybe she does. It's just not carrying over in (Real time) games.
I don't have nothing against her. Wish her well and hopes she gets better going forward.

I'd rather see players who can provide more offense in the lineup. Uconn is going to need it giving who is out due to injury.

All Azzi needed was the opportunity. Geno focused so much on Paige, and even said he doesn’t like his team without Paige. Which was a insult to her teammates. Azzi is the best shooter in the country.
He made that statement long before Azzi was actually playing. And with the way the 3 seniors played at times you really can't blame him.

great uconn team... I know Geno's trying to ingrain chemistry with a dorka-less first team, especially for tournament this weekend w Duke and probably Iowa, but I'm still a little disappointed we didn't get to see more bench... Ayanna, Caroline, Amari, Ines...especially earlier in the 4th Q when by then uconn really pulled away.

And Inez needs some playing time too in case (god forbid) something happens to Nika.
Most of the fourth-quarter could’ve been Amari, Ines, Caroline Ducharme, and Ayanna.
That way- we rest our stars and the others would get some good experience.
