9:42 Chris Evans played Johnny Storm, better known as the Human Torch, in Fantastic Four (2005), few years before taking on the iconic role of Captain America in the MCU. At the time, Fantastic Four and X-Men were both owned by Fox, which had acquired the movie rights to these Marvel IPs during the 1990s. This was a period when Marvel, struggling financially, sold the film rights to various characters and teams to different studios. As a result, while the MCU blossomed under Marvel Studios starting in 2008, characters like the X-Men and the Fantastic Four remained separate, confined to the Fox-owned universe. However, this landscape shifted dramatically in 2019 when Disney acquired Fox, leading to the return of these iconic characters' film rights back to Marvel Studios. This opens the door for their long-awaited introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That payoff will finally arrive with Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025), the film set to officially introduce the Fantastic Four into the MCU. Directed by Matt Shakman, this version promises to explore the team in a fresh and exciting way, blending retro-futuristic elements with a 1960s space exploration theme. Fans have anticipated seeing Marvel's "First Family" return to the big screen for years now so hopefully it's great. This whole film is just one big send off for the Fox Marvel films, including Blade who I believe was New Line Cinema.

Gambit was a popular main character in the X-Men animated series of the 90's. Apparently there was talk of a movie with Channing Tatum for a long time which is why he appears in this movie. Electra had her own movie after appearing in Dare Devil with Ben Affleck, (they were also in a relationship at some stage) I think they missed an opportunity to mention Catwoman with Halle Berry.
I got a lump in my throat. In the theater; as soon as I heard Patrick Stewart's voice again, it was like I was 6 years old again watching x-men for the first time. Fantastic four, daredevil, blade, the punisher, they were not great movies and some of the dialogue and costumes weren't the best. But looking back at some of the practical effects and fight scenes and some of times we spent with our friends or family, that's what made them good for me. 🥲 I'm really glad they had that mid-credits scene
