    You have completly changed the way I see the game in that feel like now I understand what the fundamentals of pool actually are. That its a game about physical connection to the balls and the shot . The concept of centering yourself, triangulating the shot and coming straight down in addition to efrens pulse technique completely changed the game for me And for the first time I have experienced true consistency, I play only on weekends, and every weekend since working on these things its the best I've ever played. I can see it in top players now, how they connect to the shot, come straight down on the ball. Within about 9 days of practice added up over 5 weeks reaching a high level of play went from something that felt almost impossible to something that's right within reach. Every video adds another piece to the puzzle, and gives more context to things I experience in practice. Every video is priceless, thanks for what you do cj. 👍

    I probably crossed your path a time or two in the N. Dallas area in the 80's - 90's. I taught golf in that area, played a bit of pool, and the bar scene was hoppin' in those days... fun times, especially if single! lol Great pool videos, by the way!

      yes I ended up a member of the Stone bridge CC when Hank Haney was the head pro - he moved down the street and we became friends and traded pool lessons for golf lessons 15 months on almost a weekly basis - he was training Tiger Woods secretly at the time, I'm back into golf now it's a challenge but I am starting to understand what Hank taught me on a much higher level
      pool and golf are a Lot alike at the top tiers
      glad to hear from you, Steve I certainly remember those days.

    CJ, will you be in the Reno/Carson City or Las Vegas area any time soon? We absolutely have to do a private lesson! I’ve become completely infatuated with TOI these last few years and your stance/pre shot routines taught in your video. There is just something about repeatable systems that just fit my mentality. Just need that private lesson to clarify a couple of the finer details. Thanks for all you do!

    Cj I’m interested in the choking up on cue? Like when do you do it and what benefits have you gotten from it, I’ve done it some just striking the cue ball and notice the more spin. When is most beneficial??

    • @cjwiley1541
      @cjwiley1541  6 місяців тому +1

      I didn't complete that thought and realized it afterwards - I can do with a regular stroke what a masse does when I choke up - I'm going to make a video and show what I mean on a pool table, it's easier to demonstrate and explain because some of the shots look almost impossible unless you know what the choked up stroke does.....it's one of my secrets to Stun shots so effectively.
      thanks and look for that video coming soon!

      I've never talked about Center Aiming, you are mixing up Aiming with Alignment, they are not the same thing - I Triangulate my aiming off a fixed, consistent alignment position as a baseline.

    Have you ever heard of Sammy Soto? Strong road player from the 90's matched up with Buddy Hall race to 100 on a bar table early 90's and beat him.

    • @cjwiley1541
      @cjwiley1541  6 місяців тому +1

      Sure his name wasn't Sammy Sosa? I think I know who you're talking about but I'm not sure about the Buddy Hall story, Buddy has not ever played a race to 100 he played ahead sets and shorter races - what city did they play, I will find out, it would surprise me if he ever played a race that long, it wasn't his style.

    • @howdy2496
      @howdy2496 6 місяців тому +1

      @@cjwiley1541 Yes. He went by Sammy Soto. His real name was Charlie Salvino. My understanding is they matched up in Benton, Illinois. Race to 100. Early 90's.

    • @cjwiley1541
      @cjwiley1541  6 місяців тому +1

      Nobody played races to 100 back then so I'd guess that's an urban legend - the people that ever beat Buddy could be counted on one hand for the money.....he liked to play 10 ahead sets or races to 15 at the most - racing to 100 is boring it's better to put up 3 sets and play races to 15 until someone wins 3 sets ahead.
      I have heard that name but never in the same category as Buddy, Earl, Varner, Hopkins or McCready.

    Can someone just lean over a bit to be centered over a shot? That's the way I do it, I feel cramped and having to move my feet more, take extra steps, when I straddle the shot line

    • @cjwiley1541
      @cjwiley1541  6 місяців тому

      You have to know the feet position for Center like I teach - it would take you 8 hours to learn judging by how you describe what you're doing currently - it's not hard but completely different than what you described
      my UA-cam has videos that explain it all pretty well but its difficult for people that don't have good footwork
