You have completly changed the way I see the game in that feel like now I understand what the fundamentals of pool actually are. That its a game about physical connection to the balls and the shot . The concept of centering yourself, triangulating the shot and coming straight down in addition to efrens pulse technique completely changed the game for me And for the first time I have experienced true consistency, I play only on weekends, and every weekend since working on these things its the best I've ever played. I can see it in top players now, how they connect to the shot, come straight down on the ball. Within about 9 days of practice added up over 5 weeks reaching a high level of play went from something that felt almost impossible to something that's right within reach. Every video adds another piece to the puzzle, and gives more context to things I experience in practice. Every video is priceless, thanks for what you do cj. 👍
Glad to hear that! I'm fortunate to have the opportunity to share this knowledge with players like yourself...."make it yours" is what my martial arts teachers used to tell me.....and pass it forward 💪 keep up the stellar play
Yup, your 60 caddy video on centering and foot placement was a game changer for me. Brought my game to another level. Also your Pocket Billiards videos on TOI and banking are out of this world. Thanks CJ.
You are giving jewels to all the people who love this game just as much as you do that will never become the champion that you are. Thanks for paying your knowledge forward and may the universe returns it back to you10 fold. Please continue to share Mr. Wiley and Thank you
I totally revamped my pool game by CJs videos online after 10 years of playing. It definitely makes a difference in your game. Thanks for the knowledge CJ!
“There’s no hard shots, there’s no easy shots, there all …just shots” “stay level - like looking at a bucket of water, you want your mind so still you can see your exact reflection” “the more I help other people the more I benefit” Big Brother - you are the man! 🙏✔️🎱
Thank you, I've probably logged more hours than anyone but it's a Journey I'm still learning something new just about every day! The Game is Our Teacher ✔️
Wow, a lot of priceless advice and great shared experiences. All that knowledge and passion for the game is just fascinating and electrifying. Thank you.
I probably crossed your path a time or two in the N. Dallas area in the 80's - 90's. I taught golf in that area, played a bit of pool, and the bar scene was hoppin' in those days... fun times, especially if single! lol Great pool videos, by the way!
yes I ended up a member of the Stone bridge CC when Hank Haney was the head pro - he moved down the street and we became friends and traded pool lessons for golf lessons 15 months on almost a weekly basis - he was training Tiger Woods secretly at the time, I'm back into golf now it's a challenge but I am starting to understand what Hank taught me on a much higher level pool and golf are a Lot alike at the top tiers glad to hear from you, Steve I certainly remember those days.
CJ, will you be in the Reno/Carson City or Las Vegas area any time soon? We absolutely have to do a private lesson! I’ve become completely infatuated with TOI these last few years and your stance/pre shot routines taught in your video. There is just something about repeatable systems that just fit my mentality. Just need that private lesson to clarify a couple of the finer details. Thanks for all you do!
I used to love Reno and the tournaments at the Sands Regency - maybe someday I'll be back but since I drive everywhere it's a long way from east Tennessee. Our paths will cross someday if it's meant to be. The Game is our Teacher
When are you gonna be in the Dallas area again? I've met you informally back in the day (league play against you and Jeremy) but would love the opportunity to meet you again.
GREAT VIDEOS ! Do have any plans coming to the Detroit / Ohio area ? I would love to take a lesson from you . I've wanted to take a lesson from you for a long time .
One of these days, it's a bit off my beaten path but I have fond memories of Detroit especially The Rack - our paths will meet one day, I'm having out in Bristol Tennessee, people are coming here from as far as Canada and Miami - take a 3 day vacation and I'll design a package deal to help you reach your goals asap
Cj I’m interested in the choking up on cue? Like when do you do it and what benefits have you gotten from it, I’ve done it some just striking the cue ball and notice the more spin. When is most beneficial??
I didn't complete that thought and realized it afterwards - I can do with a regular stroke what a masse does when I choke up - I'm going to make a video and show what I mean on a pool table, it's easier to demonstrate and explain because some of the shots look almost impossible unless you know what the choked up stroke does.....it's one of my secrets to Stun shots so effectively. thanks and look for that video coming soon!
I've never talked about Center Aiming, you are mixing up Aiming with Alignment, they are not the same thing - I Triangulate my aiming off a fixed, consistent alignment position as a baseline.
How can I schedule physical lessons from you??? I believe you can change my game tremendously, I have the discipline but I can't seem to find someone to help me get to the next level.
I'm camped out in Eastern Tennessee near Bristol - I've had players come in for 3 day sessions which gives enough time to make a significant difference - if you want on my schedule email me at cjwiley@cjwiley.com and I'll be glad to accommodate what you're interested in.
He's one of the best players in the country especially when he's focused - I can relate to the reasons he's not following the tournaments, maybe that will change one of these days.
Sure his name wasn't Sammy Sosa? I think I know who you're talking about but I'm not sure about the Buddy Hall story, Buddy has not ever played a race to 100 he played ahead sets and shorter races - what city did they play, I will find out, it would surprise me if he ever played a race that long, it wasn't his style.
@@cjwiley1541 Yes. He went by Sammy Soto. His real name was Charlie Salvino. My understanding is they matched up in Benton, Illinois. Race to 100. Early 90's.
Nobody played races to 100 back then so I'd guess that's an urban legend - the people that ever beat Buddy could be counted on one hand for the money.....he liked to play 10 ahead sets or races to 15 at the most - racing to 100 is boring it's better to put up 3 sets and play races to 15 until someone wins 3 sets ahead. I have heard that name but never in the same category as Buddy, Earl, Varner, Hopkins or McCready.
@@cjwiley1541 You bring up a good point. But it has been talked about quite a bit on AZbiiliards with one guy saying Sammy told him he got the 8 in that match. When I met him about 92 he told me he beat Mike Siegel with the 8 and Mike didn't pay him.
Can someone just lean over a bit to be centered over a shot? That's the way I do it, I feel cramped and having to move my feet more, take extra steps, when I straddle the shot line
You have to know the feet position for Center like I teach - it would take you 8 hours to learn judging by how you describe what you're doing currently - it's not hard but completely different than what you described my UA-cam has videos that explain it all pretty well but its difficult for people that don't have good footwork

Love your work CJ, these videos are enthralling and entertaining.
I appreciate that my friend!
Thank you for sharing your passion, wisdom and experience with us!
You're welcome my friend - make it yours!
Took lessons from double J and he had me come down on the shot and only have one stroke to commit too! I can totally relate to CJ Wiley.
Great video! Shared the whole channel with the team!
Awesome thank you, make the knowledge yours, the game is our Teacher.💪
Man what a great lesson. Thanks for sharing
I my opinion you are the best teacher in the country, maybe the world

More importantly than your amazing pool career…that mullet you rocked back in the day was absolutely killer!! 🔥 just saying.

Question: when should you pop the shot and when should you do the opposite? Thanks

i have a question? ...do u lean on ur front foot or ur back foot or do u lean on both feet equally
Equally - you coil back your hips to make your head fall forward to the cueball.
What do you think of justin bergman
