Expert has water safety advice for upcoming July 4th weekend

After a week where two people drowned at different locations in Central Pennsylvania, one local expert is offering advice on how to enjoy the water safely during the summer, especially during the upcoming July 4th weekend.
Mark Heller is the secretary of the Conestoga River Club, and says swimmers at rivers, lakes or pools need to know their limitations and be smart in the water.
"The opposite shore looks a lot closer than what it is until you get out there swimming towards it," Heller said. "So knowing that is important. Also, I enjoy a drink as much as the next person, but alcohol and water don't really mix all that well."
