I find the video a bit confusing. Your numbering of the sections that were remaining in the water were referred to as 7 and 8. From other sources, section 5 was to port on the 26th, not 7 with section 4 still sitting in the water, not 8. I also believe the cost you have listed is extremely low. One of the dollar figures I have seen is over $2b for this cleanup effort. It will all be paid for by the owners of The Golden Ray. It might have been nice to mention that too instead of simply throwing out a dollar figure.
I'm sorry you were confused. You are correct that they sections were labeled as you described, but I was referring to them in the order of the cuts/sections moved....i.e. the section just moved was the 7th removed..,leaving the 8th. I have seen no news reports listing the cost at 2 billion. It has been reported as over 800 millsion. Do you have some news/information supporting that? I try to look at the news/Unified Command updates for information. Also the ship is insured by North of England and the salvage loss is being incurred by a pool of insurers under the umbrella of The International Group P&I. Technically the owner is a Korean outfit called GL NV24 Shipping Inc., according to a National Transportation Safety Board and was leased by Hyundai Glovis according to the NTBS reports. If you have different reports..please share..I know there is a lot of 'hearsay' that goes on..and is difficult to determine the facts. Thanks for your feedback
