Mopar 6.4 392 Hemi cold air. Initial driving impressions. "Cold air intake"? Not really.

The jury is still out but the evidence isn't looking good. although this intake may be good at the track, the real world may pose a different set of challenges. In predictable yet still annoying fashion, the intake air temp will skyrocket once the cooling fans kick on. Under-way the intake will drop temperature at about the same rate as the stock box, maybe even as fast as the Hellcat. Still though, the main focus of the test was to isolate the air temperature sensor to see what the temps were at the filter. They get hot, easily hitting over 140 degrees on a 58 degree day with only a short time at idle once the car was at operating temperature.
