Sea of Tranquility is my go to reviewer and my new favorite such a humble guy, if it wasn’t for his videos I wouldn’t have gotten deeper in prog music and jazz fusion plus I love how he does album rankings and his many streams he does with guest appearances

I absolutely love Pete Pardo with Sea of tranquility! One of my favourite UA-cam channels. I also love Metal Trenches and Old Head (who isn't on this list.).
Yes Old Head’s channel is great. Enjoy his regular series with Eddie Sparxx and the guy from Acid Reign. His Old Headbangers Ball series that he discontinued because of the y/t blockers was awesome.

Totally agree that CoverKillerNation is the GOAT. If he liked an album, you could bank on it being a good album. It’s too bad he’s not creating content anymore.

If Eddy Metal uploaded on a regular basis he'd honestly be a top-tier. The presentation's very good, and you can tell he knows and cares about what he's discussing.
I watch The Metal Meltdown (have actually met him IRL; he’s waaaaaaay more chill outside of his channel), Wyattxhim, BryceTalksMetal, Forgemaster guys, Thralls, Metal Trenches, Altars of Mattness and of course: YOU! Love ya’, man! You make me laugh sometimes; keep being yourself! ❤😅
If there’s one thing you can give Justin Horval credit for, he’s neither boring nor is he insufferable.

Thanks man, I really wanted to discover more Metal channels on UA-cam, some of them I already knew, but others I didn't. And Goniloc is also my favorite channel, I love the fun way he talks in his videos.
I’d put gonlic and Justin in goat personally, gonlic doesn’t upload much but every video is a banger and I watch Justin everyday plus the interviews he does are great
Kens death metal crypts , drewcifer , mordant rhed JOABA jimmy from the block and radio free innsmouth are also some great metal UA-camrs

I only watch his channel when he has Mordant Rhed on. The only other good thing about his channel is I learned about that goat metal show. Otherwise, fuck that guy.

The Downfall Network with Brody was definitely unique . Brody , and Razorfist were the most opinionated reviewers out there..Brody used to make fun of Coverkiller Nation

Razorfist's Metal Mythos is the peak of metal on UA-cam for me. Goniloc's videos are hilarious and CoverKillerNation is an OG from back in the days so he's always respected. Wyattxhim got me into some of my fav bands like Summoning and Dragged into Sunlight. Bryce is the wholesome little brother with great taste and Sea of Tranquility is the dad rock representation we need. And Questy, well what can I say... I have been here since day 1 and always check out your rankings before I jump into any discography. :D
It’s a shame that Razorfist doesn’t do the whole Metal Mythos stuff anymore on his channel. And he was so good at it, too… Why he had to throw that away to make right wing political videos, I will never understand.

I find a lot of hosts on UA-cam use a load of adjectives when describing a band or album, instead of having any real substance to back them up. 😴
Bradley Hall, while a different kind of channel, is incredibly inventive and talented. 👌🏻

I would put Chris (Metal Trenches) in the Kill Me Please. It takes an Act of God to put power metal in a best of list and he kisses the ass of most deathcore.
Did you see his top 25 metal albums video? Half that shit wasn't even metal.

@@Poser_Metal_Records For me personally, Metal Trenches has strange reviews of discographies, as if it deliberately goes against the flow (e.g. for Nokturnal Mortum he does not like the albums Lunar Poetry and Goat Horns, for Blut aus Nord he does not appreciate Memoria Vetusta II.)
But ok, it's a personal preference, although from the point of view of musical objectivity, very far away.
I don't share his fondness for deathcore and metalcore bands, but I respect that. Metal is diverse and we can't all like the same genres. And we're still only talking about metal. I follow up on your mention of Metal Trenches' video "Top 25 Favorite Metal Albums of All Time" and that "Half that shit wasn't even metal". Maybe the video should have been called "Top 25 Favorite Albums" (without the word metal), but that's probably the only thing I would complain about (even though I don't like almost the entire Top 25).
It's not a shame if a metalhead also likes non-metal music (such as neofolk, industrial, dark ambient) or rock music as mathrock, progressive rock, krautrock. I don't blame anyone for preferring only one style of music, like only metal, but many such people are elitists similar to those who only like opera and classical music and argue that only that is real music. It's childish and snobbish.

Personally, I love Heavy Metallurgy, I am really into long deep dives into discographies, or years. It has nice discussions and really good insights.
The fact that wyatt deviates so far from metal makes him a GOAT in my book
Altars of Mattness deserves a shout, I enjoy his channel a lot. He is from my neck of the woods, so probably a little biased.
Man, do I love coverkillernation. He really kickstarted my metal journey. Too bad he doesn't upload anymore

Good to see people mention Altars Of Mattness in the comments. I started watching him when he had like 50 subs because he's from my way. I was surprised how good he was and I'm very glad to see his speedy rise after only a year.

Banger was much better when Sam Dunn was on frequently and they did those Lock Horns segments.

Thralls Of Metal and Quest For Metal are my favorites. Metal Melt Down and Finn Mckenty are my least favorite. I used to really like Bangertv but they lost their edge in my opinion.

the only channel I keep up with is wyattxhim, I also do watch Jimmy From The Block, Julian Gonzalez, and Thrash Metal IQ but those channels are mostly inactive, Ruthless Metal helped me find alot of cool bands also.

Id put Justin Horval aka J Dawg in always watch. I get a kick out of his rants and when he does his "clueless canoe, deer in the headlights, dick in the mouth" face. Lol. And his dedication to true underground extreme metal. Yeah he often comes off douchey and gatekeeper-y, but i don't care. I still enjoy it.
Other metal youtubers to check out include:
Drewcifer. He does collection updates and album reviews. He shows lots of great lesser known Death and Black Metal bands.
Moteycrueforever1 is another cool Metal collection update channel. He said Motley Crue is his favorite band of all time, however, he mainly collects and shows TONS of Black Metal and some Death Metal. He doesn't seem to upload much, just once in a while. But when he does, the videos are almost an hour long.
Marc G with a C is another great Metal collection youtuber. He's based in England too. Loves his Death and black metal too, among other bands.
Marty Worm should be included in the GOATS. He's a metal collection institution on UA-cam

Hipster Black Metal is legendary. One of the only ones to make such an impact on artists and scenes themselves and despite his style he is up there with CoverKillerNation in terms of era and generation. It’s that og first gen style of UA-cam quality. Funny how you referred to him as Reddit esque, that’s ironic really considering the politics.

Kmac used to be pretty funny. I also like Charlie Looker quite a bit but his channel is broader musically, metal is just one of the things.

Pagefire is not entirely metal-youtuber, but a lot of videos on a topic are there. He likes to joke and make funny videos in the way Farvann is (but more gimmickey and less black metal). Any "How to make genre" video is an instant fav from that channel. Really entertaining, A+ stuff.
And Questy, well it's obvious - pure open discussion on good memes. I wanna find metal, too look deeper in what I already know about metal - I go here. Never dissapoints.
And Nik Nocturne is absent. He would have made that Kill Me list bigger.
Pagefire is a great channel! Their videos are hilarious, I just wish they had the time to put out more content(quality over quantity I suppose!)

Glad you put Jared Dines in the 'Kill Me, Please' tier. Don't get me wrong, he's probably a really nice guy and he's great at guitar, but I agree with the facial expression thing, but also, you know when you have a random dislike for someone, which you don't know why? He falls under that for me.
