*WOW JOE... THANK YOU HUMBLY FOR THE GRACIOUS SHOUT OUT... YOU EXECUTED A FANTASTIC SHOWING OF THOSE AWESOME BEEB ALBUMS... SOME I NEVER SEEN BEFORE...I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED IT... MAYBE DOWN THE LINE YOU COULD DO A PART 2 WHERE YOU SHOW OFF ANY RADIO BROADCASTS THAT WERE ONLY MEANT FOR THE RADIO STATIONS... IE... SCOTT MUNI'S TICKET TO RIDE, THE LOST LENNON TAPES OR EVEN THE BEATLES RADIO ONE BROADCASTS... THAT WOULD BE REALLY RAD... REGARDLESS... YOU ROCK JOE MAYO... FACT... GOD BLESS BROTHA!!!!*
This is a great idea :). I did enjoy seeing all of the different BBC Albums. I do have some but have a lot of holes lol to fill in :). Funny that you shood show V4 and say it is your favorite one!!! I got it just because of the cover lol and yes, it is a good one!!! I do have them all on CD. But good fun to see the ones that you have see you soon!!!
Nice collection of the Beeb bootlegs!! A European label Great Dane released a beautiful but expensive box set of the entire collection of Beatles preforming at the BBC It has everything from their shows and sounds wonderful
Thank you Joe great video I'm going to have to look for more of these I just have the CD sets. I think my local record store has the one that looks like a German LP. Please stay well and safe and may God bless you and your family.
Joe, part of my huge collection of Beatles and solo Beatles stuff is a 10 cd box called live and rare 1962-1966. Each cd sleeve has a nice photo. Many live performances. Good sound quality too. Cd 2 has George doing a picture of you from June 11 1962 and it’s a great cover. I’m wondering if you have this set or heard of it. If you have it have you done a video of it? If so I would like to check it out and if you have the set but never did a video report on it I think it may be a good one for you to do. Just wondering and I like your channel here. Take care.
I have those as well, Joe; got mine back in the 80's. Great series: what Apple should have done for the BBC material. #4 and 5 are great covers! There is also a variation on Vol. 1 that has a really cool cover as well.
Those cover designs are interesting and creative. The reworking of the Hard Day's Night cover design was unique, using different sized photos. Volume 13 had "The Beatles" in the shape of a guitar, just like the Monkees' logo.
I loved this series when it came out. wonderful covers and very good quality. I ended up getting all these on CD format. nice to keep in collection either way.
Great video. Being from England it was easy to buy these at a very reasonable price. The one you like vol:4 the front cover was taken by their favourite photographer his name being Dezo Hoffman. He took it in London Solo. They are walking g to his studio. The studio was on top of one of the Strip Clubs
Cool collection! I have The Live At The BBC on cassettes.. So that's a bootleg collection? The bootlegs are really cool because of the rare photos.. So many extra songs I suppose. Good on ya MrMayo.. )^_-)/
Very enjoyable presentation Joe. I picked up 5-6 for under $20 bucks each on bidding in 2021. Still trying to seek out the other volumes but no way gonna throw down $80-$100 per vol. on eBay these days.
I just personally discovered a Girl Band from Liverpool that came out the same time as The Beatles. They're called THE LIVERBIRDS. They recorded on Star Club Records. I Love them! Check out their versions of Talkin Bout You, For Your Love, Peanut Butter, Heatwave, and Money(That's What I want). You won't be disappointed!
To all with easy access to Brooklyn. I have information about a Paul McCartney exhibit. I directly quote an article from AMNY in a Story by Isabel Song Beer "The Brooklyn Museum will host “Paul McCartney Photographs 1963-64: Eyes of the Storm,” an exhibit displaying hundreds of photographs from the legendary musician’s archives documenting the rise of the Beatles. On view from May 3 through Aug. 18, the exhibition features hundreds of photographs captured by McCartney through the lens of his Pentax film camera as he navigated the superstardom of Beatlemania and the Beatles’ first US tour throughout the early 1960s."
Very cool collection here Joe”at the BEEB”....nice condition of the covers, mono yea that’s the “ticket” to ride 😁🙄🤭...oooo lord I totally forgot 😮 this February!! I was there Joe!(when it went down I mean) later ✊🏻👋🏻
I used to own all those records but made the mistake of selling them off to afford that 9 cd box set from Great Dane called The Complete BBC Sessions. Would love to pick them up again.
Hey Joe, very nice collection!!! I have a copy of the cds I still have give them a listen lol. Do you think we will ever see a vol. 3 of live at the BBC? Take care. Thanks for sharing! Do you have any original albums from the UK?
Nice collection of records there, Joe! I used to see those BBC albums around but never did pick any up. Some great covers! Check out my recent Beatles video on my channel when you get a chance.
That Beatles at The Beeb volume 13 has the name ' Beatles' stylized in the same way the Monkees had their name stylized, in the shape of a guitar, no? Or am I dead wrong on this one? :)
@@MeanMrMayo the question is now: ' Who copied who?' :) Just kidding, both bands are great and your collection is really impressive. Frankly, I bet even Paul and Ringo would be amazed by the amount of stuff you gathered. Take care!

Hey Joe, there is a Beatles at the Beeb vol 14. It’s based off the album cover ‘With the Beatles’. Also there is a Beatles At the Beeb with Pete Best.

@@gcrichman53 I wouldn't normally but that's a fact for this design. Of course the Beatles are miles above.
so do you think theres anything on those that is superior to the official BBC releases Joe? or any big highlights that stand out for you?
Just some songs that didn't make it to the official releases (yet).
