I saw it an open world type breath of the will but adapted for sonic for its unique gameplay A world so enough that just running there is fun and nothing else (obvious for what a game is that would be an empty world) see the forests, the landscapes, the wind in your face just by running and thanks to your ability with the abilities of sonic reach such a high point and appreciate every millimeter of landscape In the final game I love him very much for fulfilling almost perfectly what I wanted (except the momentum but there is everything excellent for me)
The landscape is almost identical to whats behind Giganto's boss arena (which you can explore by doing the Hedgehog Space Program Glitch) aside from the rails and enemies and such which were placed in using mods I imagine.
Man, seeing the older Sonic model in the environment instead of the forces model really shows how much better it would have been 😓 Hopefully in Frontiers 2 or whatever it’s called, we do get a model closer to the older Generations / Unleashed models
i imagined it being a open world game with elements like leveling up, combat, exploration, collecting, and unlock skills to better your character, like playstation spider man, god of war, boss fights and so, i havent played frontiers so i cant know for sure, but a game like that with sonic would be cool i think
This is soo like my expectations, i mean i wasn’t really dissapointed, both trailer and game are good, the good thing about the trailers, sonic has long quills and how smooth the trailer looks like, and the good thing about the real game, is that Sonic is fixed, and super sonic is Also fixed and even stronger then Base archie sonic, love how the start of this video starts with those forests that look like the ones from the Vandalize song, (those places where sonic said Tangle would love climbing, wherever is there.)
somethin about frontiers feels like half of it its a fangame and the other half is profesionally made, its weird to describe it I really wonder if people didn't know they didn't have a big budget to pull off a mind blowing game
It would be cool if each and every Sonic game that ever existed was all combined into one game with beughtiful graphics like what's in this awesome Sonic game. Like also adding different play options such as different activities and with their being more of a multiplayer Sonic game where multiple people can play together.
Imagine how'd this game have been like as just one island with multiple biomes(Zones)? While besides green fields, a desert, and volcanic, we'd have a snowy area, a jungle, and places Eggman built like a theme park, a futuristic city, and a casino.
I love the mix of footstep sound from games before frontiers and others and ones from frontiers together oh btw is this a mod of frontiers or another game? Or is this a fan game? I’m curious
It’s still a bummer u don’t actually get to see what’s inside the volcano. I still am wishing sonic frontiers would allow us to see more hidden palaces inside the the bases and ruins
This is amazing honestly the physics go well with the amount of area you get sonic doesn't stop via random hill even when he goes full speed and plus he is definitely looking more alive plus the momentum is actually there this is what we need in the future actually good physics that make you feel like the character its a similar thing with spider-man 2 being out now but its also complementary to what it was based off of (botw) but they all flow with sonics powers but the retail game left us with a lot of odd choices
Correct me if I’m wrong, but there’s a possible sequel planned in the future and if that’s true this is how a Sonic Frontiers sequel should be like but with larger islands to explore and longer and better Cyber Space like levels
Frontiers si actually a great game that deserves the oportunity to be played, i was insecure about it before i bought it and then i was hooked by the first Titan
This definitely looks the way I imagined it. I honestly want a open world game with more Sonic vibes from the 2-D era. A open world Green Hill area maybe leading to a Chemical Plant area or any of the other vibrant areas of the early games. Would have been better than what we got. Wasn’t horrible, but just feels like it was missing something.
I just wanted locations that look like places rather than a tech demo. Would be cool if instead of random floating rails we had branches and funky bent trees to grind on. Ohh well, maybe next time.
Any chance that you could make a copy of all of the animation files that you used in one folder? So that we don't have to find each one individually? I'd really like to use this for myself
I want to post this as a compilation mod but I haven't received permission from all of the creators yet. I guess it's fine to distribute my setup individually though? I'm not sure about the rules on that. I can send you it though. How should I?
All I want is an open world Sonic that is either set in the Mystic Ruins, or a place more akin to the comics. As cool as something like Station Square would be, it's never easy to make a big city, without it feeling lifeless. Maybe a small one, like Soleanna (I think it was called) sized or something... basically I just want a Sonic Adventure remake, though I wouldn't want them to touch the gameplay, unless they either really tried to improve on the way SA plays, or do something like you presented here. I want to build up speed again... I want the challenge! Not just hitting an easy speed button and calling it a day- that's what spindash spamming is for damnit!
I actually found the open world concept very refreshing for a Sonic game and I would love for SEGA to lean into it in future games. That said, to further prevent the games from coming off as a sandbox without much to do, I think 3 things need to be done. 1. The worlds need to look and be more distinctive, offering different environmental factors and gameplay mechanics to make them stand out. 2. More character interactions. This franchise has, like, a gazillion characters that are criminally underused. Even if they don't play a big part in the main story, scattering them across the worlds for fun conversations or even side missions will make the game feel much more alive. I even remember Sonic Adventure 1 doing this with random NPCs. 3. The story in this game is pretty solid and the characters are especially well-written. In the future though, and particularly if they're gonna include even more characters, I'd personally love to see a longer, more complex story, especially one told from multiple perspectives.
I feel like Sonic frontiers would have benefited from doing more bases for Sonic to run through (like the underground temple or maybe just setting up some eggman bases after all he was planning a full scale invasion) as well as making the environment itself have a bunch of obstacles instead of a bunch of random rails over the place. Like they could have done a loop de loop here there and also maybe some vines to grind on and they could have used trees to get hired up into the air. And more things that looked like actual eggman contraptions to fill in spaces where the environment could not. I feel like that would have made for a much more fun and immersive world.
Начало видео очень очаровательное, но потом потихоньку начинаешь замечать недостатки. Не все из их принципиальные, но есть один, который ломает ощущение от игры - долго прорисовывающиеся текстуры. Notice how in this things don’t just pop in and out of existence as you approach them nearly as much as in the actual game. Granted he’s fast and that can be a challenge but I don’t think I’m alone when I say I don’t mind them slowing down Sonic. Bring the Adventure formula back
The sound design is also really good. I could hear that pitter patter of running all day playing
I saw it an open world type breath of the will but adapted for sonic for its unique gameplay
A world so enough that just running there is fun and nothing else (obvious for what a game is that would be an empty world) see the forests, the landscapes, the wind in your face just by running and thanks to your ability with the abilities of sonic reach such a high point and appreciate every millimeter of landscape
In the final game I love him very much for fulfilling almost perfectly what I wanted (except the momentum but there is everything excellent for me)
The landscape is almost identical to whats behind Giganto's boss arena (which you can explore by doing the Hedgehog Space Program Glitch) aside from the rails and enemies and such which were placed in using mods I imagine.
i imagined you would clip through the terrain more easily
Looks so pretty without all the things in the air glitching in
I know this is Modded Frontiers, but I get huge Infinity Engine vibes from this.
I cant be the only one that was disappointed by the random loops and rails in the middle of the air instead of the lushed nature in the teasers.
this looks and feels right
I was expecting sonic to be fast without the boost😢
Bro this is awesome the momentum physics are great but not gonna lie this is how i pictured the game when it was stll in development.
That would be so relaxing... Sonic Frontiers is a /game/, but an ASMR world like this would be so nice 🥹
Man, seeing the older Sonic model in the environment instead of the forces model really shows how much better it would have been 😓
Hopefully in Frontiers 2 or whatever it’s called, we do get a model closer to the older Generations / Unleashed models
i imagined it being a open world game with elements like leveling up, combat, exploration, collecting, and unlock skills to better your character, like playstation spider man, god of war, boss fights and so, i havent played frontiers so i cant know for sure, but a game like that with sonic would be cool i think
HIRE THIS MAN
_Sonic Frontiers as you truly imagined it_
*IN UNREAL 4*
I would love a version of sonic frontiers, with all the islands, these physics, and no enemies. Just an enormous running simulation.
just...beautiful
We just need the boost aura to look like the cyloop and then perfection
this is so relaxing.. remove the ancient treats and i would want to be in a trip to this island💙
somethin about frontiers feels like half of it its a fangame and the other half is profesionally made, its weird to describe it
I really wonder if people didn't know they didn't have a big budget to pull off a mind blowing game
I think its sonic himself. Putting low budget forces sonic into a high budget world felt wierd
this mod adds back the squash and stretch from forces!
It’s a new code on the modloader.
It would be cool if each and every Sonic game that ever existed was all combined into one game with beughtiful graphics like what's in this awesome Sonic game. Like also adding different play options such as different activities and with their being more of a multiplayer Sonic game where multiple people can play together.
So basically Super Mario Odyssey (minus the multiplayer)
Sup kudos to you for releasing the video on my birthday :)
I ordered my first custom PC last week and I’m stoked to be able to play games with mods that look like this once it comes in.
2:22 the trees can't keep with Sonic.
I imagined it as literally Green Hill Zone, but wider and without a goal.
I made it as a Roblox Project
Oh what’s the name of the project? I’d like to check it out 😮
@ACreatureCalledSilvah Idek if it's public (I think it is), but it's "Project Sonic Free World"
It's pretty bad, tho
Imagine how'd this game have been like as just one island with multiple biomes(Zones)? While besides green fields, a desert, and volcanic, we'd have a snowy area, a jungle, and places Eggman built like a theme park, a futuristic city, and a casino.
Little did he know...
I like how the Boost works in this mod! It made Sonic to gain more momentum without having to go through a slope!
I love the mix of footstep sound from games before frontiers and others and ones from frontiers together oh btw is this a mod of frontiers or another game? Or is this a fan game? I’m curious
Do you all remember that we thought that Sonic Frontiers might suck. But we were wrong?
@ZeroXVA at least the mods make the game better
@ZeroXVA sure the game may be flawed and away, but the game is still a masterpiece. I can't wait for the new updates for the game to come out
@ZeroXVA at least the game was way more funner than Sonic Forces
@@aganthonygoody254 nah it has some annoying flaws that prevent it from being a masterpiece. But with the DLC updates coming, maybe it could.
It's not really that good.
FOOTSTEP SOUND EFFECTS!!!! :0
i cant remeber if theyre in base game, but if they are, they definitely dont sound as good as they do here
It’s still a bummer u don’t actually get to see what’s inside the volcano.
That being said at 1:49 he should have been able to get up that slope without the need of the dropdash
how is this not the unreal engine mario nintendo hire this man retread that we tend to see in a lot of other sonic fan games.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but there’s a possible sequel planned in the future and if that’s true this is how a Sonic Frontiers sequel should be like but with larger islands to explore and longer and better Cyber Space like levels
Funnily enough you were correct there is a sequel
Frontiers si actually a great game that deserves the oportunity to be played, i was insecure about it before i bought it and then i was hooked by the first Titan
I would like this 100x more than what we got, and that’s not sayin a whole ton
The forest at the beginning looks so beautiful.
About to download every mod in the description lmao
Did you take out the rails? It looks so much better without them floating everywhere
Nah. Im technically running around in Kronos using a mod that lets you access out of bounds portions, so there aren’t many objects there.
can anyone help me with the true physics mod, its very bugy and sonic moves automatically, i cant play with it
This definitely looks the way I imagined it. I honestly want a open world game with more Sonic vibes from the 2-D era. A open world Green Hill area maybe leading to a Chemical Plant area or any of the other vibrant areas of the early games. Would have been better than what we got. Wasn’t horrible, but just feels like it was missing something.
Couldn't be me, my switch would be running at 2 fps trying to run on those graphics
Can I use your video for a Sonic documentary I'm making for my channel?
sure!
@@Medajoltz thank youuu 💙💙
At the beginning I got Chaos 4 PTSD from SA1
I just wanted locations that look like places rather than a tech demo. Would be cool if instead of random floating rails we had branches and funky bent trees to grind on.
Ohh well, maybe next time.
did you know before the announcement I found that you could see the early logo of sonic frontiers
@@Medajoltz You could paste links to the individual mods or their creators.
@@derpydino17 I did in the discription
The graphics are beughtiful and gorgeous its like really realistic.
This gameplay gives me that vibe y'know? I can already picture somebody telling sega to hire this man...
Damn you imagined the pop in asw??
THIS IS WHAT I WAS THINKING
holy shit this looks so cool.
Sega has said frontiers was a test of what's to come i hope they stay true to that
They really shouldve sticked with the Modle from unleashed/Generations and had animations like this rather than sticking with the Forces model that just looks like They were trying to make Modern Sonic into a taller version of Classic Sonic
I can feel the wind in my face watching it.. peak
I don’t have trees and stones, so standing on air is normal for me, cuz it is actually the stones, but I don’t see them.
If sonic frontiers didnt get a small budget
I wish sonic frontiers would’ve added a sonic boom too their game since it’s a open world
I imagined Chao Gardens would be discoverable in the open world.
This is what future Sonic games will most likely look like
