Rajasthan me Petrol 108 hai. Mere mitra ne tiago ev liya. 3.5 month me 12000km complete kiya. Month me almost 15 din gadi se jana aana hota hai. 300KM aprox total travel hota hai per day. Office me gadi charge karna free hai. Petrol ki li hoti to ab tak 65k-70k rs ka petrol lag jata. Lekin abhi tak sirf maintainance ka 1500 se 2000 ke beech ka hi laga, wo bhi gadi dhulwane ke aur chote mote service charges. Conclusion ye hai ki: Agar aapko daily kam hi chalna ho ya fir jadatar gadi khadi rakhni ho to Tiago CNG best hai. EV unke liye best hai jo daily jada travel karte hain.

Even if you choose tigor cng AMT you're paying 3.5-4L more for the EV in the same variant.. You can check the price officially for the top variants. And this cost is based on the fact that you'll charge your EV at home through it's life cycle, which means you'll never take your car more than 150-170 kms in a single charge if you want to achieve ₹1/km. If you're using fast chargers frequently then your cost comes upto ₹2.5-3/km which is almost equal to cng variant. Also if you're using 3.5kw charger at home you'll need an 8kw connection to charger your car at night and run AC and other home appliances.. which means your per unit cost of your overall household electricity use will go up.. Also you must have a covered private parking with a 16amp socket nearby, if you're a tenant or live in a society where such facility isn't available then your charging cost will go up significantly.. EV might be perfect for a niche market.. You need to fulfil everything an EV car needs to run cost effectively. Untill EVs cost atmost a lakh over it's petrol counterpart and provides actual range of 450-500kms per charge cycle, EVs are not a great option
Tiago petrol owners will be very delighted if they get a mileage of 17-18 kms per lt. 😊 another thing that you are misinformed is that you don’t need to change the entire battery even if the battery% drops. They would probably just need to change few cells in the battery pack. And please consider the fact that EVs are automatic - you can’t compare manual vs automatic as automatic ICE cars will have lesser mileage than their manual counterparts.

Petrol and CNG are manual transmission. But ev is automatic, and comfortable for city drive. You missed on that aspect and silent cabin, no noice, no vibration unlike petrol and CNG cars
My calculations show that EV , CNG or petrol - all cost almost samr for 50K Km. But if u take 1 lac Km , then EV saves a lot. But again - life of battery after 1 L Km, tyre degradation etc needs to b considered.

CNG पे मेन्टेनेन्स ज्यादा होता है , पेट्रोल मे फ्यूयल खर्च ज़्यादा होता है और EV मे 5 साल के बाद बेटरी चेन्ज करानी होगी 5 साल बाद महगाई से बैटरी प्राइज 10 लाख हो जायेगा कुल मिलाके सब एज ही है भाई.

Bro, nice presentation. Appreciated your efforts in detailed explanation. Please note, I will opt in for EV only if my daily run is more than 40 kms. You have calculated for 60K kms in 5 years. I have S-Cross diesel and i have clocked 1.7Lacs kms in just 5 years. For such usage, i will opt EV. Note: Its not like battery has lifetime of 8 years. Its replacement warranty is 8 years. Cost for replacement is 5-6 Lacs, which is at this very moment. Think about battery cost after 6 or 7 years. It will be cheaper.

I have owned several cars during last 22 years. Even an 800 cc engine could never ever give average of more than 14 or 15 km/L of petrol. That is why the whole calculation is flawed. It is more a question of having a great experience of driving apart from economics. Every time you take your petrol car for service, it never cost less than Rs.10,000. You also have to see that the EVs are automatic.

i have a petrol cng car WagonR, it give me milage of 20 and 30 minimum real in all conditions, service cost is always 4-7 k per service, i also like evs but dont live in dark, look for all options
In smaller towns, it is stop and go traffic, you'll never exceed 15+ kms/ltr in such environment, EVs shine in this speed. Also, the difference b/w (3 cylinder) manual and single peddle driving should also be considered. In few years, EV maintenance would be DIY (coolant change) mostly and battery/cell upgradation outside OEM.
EV are worst when it comes to maintenance. You can't do DIY stuffs it gets software upgrades as well which is used to degrade battery life and still charging as well range is biggest weak points of EV.
Sometimes after 5 to 6 years...no doubt ev battery wil degrade for some extent.....but we have technologies like cell ballancing....if ev is maintained in good condition.....then there is no need to replace the whole battery......only some degraded cells could be replaced.....which u cant do with petrol engines..... I am using revolt rv 400 from. Past 3 years......driven 42,000 km.....but still now also....if i maintain a speed of 35km /hr in city drive u wil just reach 5 to 10 mins late at your destination......i get an avg of 1% 2km.....so evry time i am getting an avg of 160 to 180km in single seat and 130 to 150km on double seat. in one single chargem.... I have spend 1.4 lakhs on revolt out of which i have recoverde 85 k rupees by fuel saving.... Same is with cars....if you drive nexov EV at a constant speed of 40 to 45 km in city mode...u can get 1% 3km range....on higways also with constant speed of 70km/hr u can get upto 250 ,to 260 km per charge ..... By maintaining wat/hours near by 100... People dont drive ev cars in ev ways...they just harsly place accelerater like petrol heads....thus thet dont get good avg.......
Bro, there is a thing called Opportunity Cost, EV ke liye initially jo 3.5 lakhs de rahe hai wo agar invest karte hai to 10% year-on-year growth see 5 lakh ban jate hai In 5 years). Secondly, EVs are easy to drive in city because it's a genuine automatic (Better than AMT, DCT, Torque converter etc) to wo additional benefit hai EV ka. Third, EV me humesha range anxiety hogi, city usage ke liye sahi hai but it cannot be your Primary car (At least in 2023) future me bhale hee ye resolve ho jaye ya fir Hydrogen cars aa jaye, you never know. Basically, EV can be a secondary car and for city usage it is really useful, else, stick to Petrol (Kam chalna hai to), else go with CNG (Benefit of alternate fuel, jo ki EV me nahi hai).

Correct, battery degradation is not 50% it's only 10-15% for 5 years. The missing cost is the EVs tyre replacement needs to be done a little early due to the extra weight of the battery. For ICE cars, there will be engine wear and tear so need to consider that degradation also.
The battery of EV is required to be replaced after 7 years which is around 40% of the Car Cost. This cost per year + 15% hidden loss per year on capital ( that is the purchase cost difference of the cars) should also be considered while calculating per year running expenses of EV.

I think cng best..bcoz ev ko leke Koi long tour nehi ja paoge charging stations nehi milega toh ? 10 lac invest kar ke only limited distance running loss he...Acc to Govt plan 2024 tak 8000 cng station ho jayega ,maximum city me cng station available jayega.. so i think cng car is best option comparison to petrol & ev for next 10 years.

Wow it's market reality bro. Because I'm using tata tigor ev tourist purpose last 1 year and tention free maintenance.
Ev गाड़ी की मिनिमम 1000 रिचार्ज साइकल होती हे उस हिसाब से गाड़ी 1000 x 160 km (min) = 1,60,000 km चलेगी। उसके बाद बैटरी degradation चालू होगी 5-10 % पर लाख km। गाड़ी 30% बैटरी dagradation होते होते ऐसे ही 4 लाख km चली जायेगी। तो ऐसा बिलकुल नहीं हैं की गाड़ी 1,60,000 km या 8 साल बैटरी वारंटी के बाद खत्म हो जाएगी। 4 लाख km पे तो 10-15 लाख रूपये ऐसे ही बचा लिए तो गाड़ी sell करनी ही क्यों हे? इतने लाख km चलाने के लिए एक और नई CNG/ पेट्रोल गाड़ी के और 6 लाख रुपए यूंही बचा लिए। FYI: Tesla की गाड़ी 5 से 8 लाख km चल जाती है रेंज कॉम्प्रोमाइज के साथ।
Please refresh your knowledge about ev battries. These are capable of 3000 recharges. That would mean 3000x250 = 750000 km. And still there would be battery left with 70-80 % capacity. With this battery pack you can certainly do 7-8 L km.
Vety informative video. But after battery degradation only weak battery cells will be replaced not a complete battery pack which will be very cheaper. And what about Cng availability in all states of India. Please let us know about flex n hydrogen engine also.

Battery warranty is 8 years, it does't mean that it is to be replaced after 8 years. Entire Battery need not to be replace, only degraded cells to be replaced. Battery life is @3000 charging cycles. If you use the EV 1000 km per month, it is to be charged 5 to 6 times a month. So for 1000 km a month running, battery need not to be replaced for entire vehicle life.

Battery capacity is 3000 cycles for one battery, means 3000*200=6L kms... I don't think that a person can drive a car more than that... They definitely go to new car... And you compared just 30kms a day, compare if a person travel 100kms a day like bike... I think EV is the best choice in this days..

Mostly cars wil get charged at home and malls, offices etc... We cannot fill petrol or CNG at home or office. So charging station won't be required like Petrolpump or CNG station. If have seen many videos they all miss this consideration that ev will get chaged at home because only user know that 95% time cars will get charged at home only. I think for city drive if daily run is < 80 km < 180 km ev is best option. So far I have changed only once on charging station.

अभी भी गाँव मे जरा सी हवा तेज चले या बारिश हो जाये तो पूरी रात या 1 से 2 दिन बिजली गायब हो जाती है, और गर्मी के मौसम मे वोल्टेज पूछो हि ना 100- 120 वोल्ट मिल जाये गो बहुत है, और बिजली गर्मी मे अति भी है तो 8-10 घंटे मुश्किल से उसमे भी कम से कम 50 बार कटती है

Bro The Calculation is Not Correct. Few Corrections I would like to tell. 1. The Base Model Ev has 19kw Battery which will take 19 units and the commercial chargers are charging max 22-23Rs. per unit... Total Charging would be like 400-450Rs. 0-100% 2. Tiago CNG Doesn't give you mileage of 28Km. Its Max 24-25km/kg so the total becomes 2,40,000 Rs. 3. Batteries in EV are not the same as our household or phone batteries. EVs have LFP batteries which is 5 times more durable than normal lithium ion batteries. ( Tesla Have the same batteries as Tiago and Tesla Came in 2012 and in 10-11 Years the Battery Degradation is about 10-12% Max ) 4. Tata is Giving 8 years or 1,60,000 Km. warranty on Motor and Batteries (whichever is earlier ofcourse). So the calculation needs to be calculated according to that. Which will clearly make tiago EV winner. 5. After the Warranty Period is over. For Motor or Batteries. Not all batteries have to be changed, only the faulty battery you need. Also the production of Batteries are also starting in India Now, So the batteries prices will be reduced drastically. 6. Last but not the Least, Ev is automatic so the comparison should be done as per that, in CNG we don't have any automatic model, and in Petrol It's 1.50 lac Expensive which is XTA. And for EV the Same XT MR Model (Second Base) is only 60,000Rs. experience. Conclusion : EV is not Bad at all, Its not for those who change the vehicle every few years, But definitely worth for the ones who will drive for 8-10 years, Also when you are Driving something cheaper than the motorcycle itself, your mindset changes, You want to drive more as there's not much hustle or tension of refilling the fuel now and then which certainly effects your monthly expenses, So you Happily plan your weekend Trips with family. Even if you choose tigor cng AMT you're paying 3.5-4L more for the EV in the same variant.. You can check the price officially for the top variants.
And this cost is based on the fact that you'll charge your EV at home through it's life cycle, which means you'll never take your car more than 150-170 kms in a single charge if you want to achieve ₹1/km. If you're using fast chargers frequently then your cost comes upto ₹2.5-3/km which is almost equal to cng variant. Also if you're using 3.5kw charger at home you'll need an 8kw connection to charger your car at night and run AC and other home appliances.. which means your per unit cost of your overall household electricity use will go up.. Also you must have a covered private parking with a 16amp socket nearby, if you're a tenant or live in a society where such facility isn't available then your charging cost will go up significantly.. EV might be perfect for a niche market.. You need to fulfil everything an EV car needs to run cost effectively.
Untill EVs cost atmost a lakh over it's petrol counterpart and provides actual range of 450-500kms per charge cycle, EVs are not a great option

My calculations show that EV , CNG or petrol - all cost almost samr for 50K Km. But if u take 1 lac Km , then EV saves a lot. But again - life of battery after 1 L Km, tyre degradation etc needs to b considered.
If you consider 10 years time, then CNG will be a Value for Money Car. Not EV, because of the New Battery Cost!

Please note, I will opt in for EV only if my daily run is more than 40 kms. You have calculated for 60K kms in 5 years. I have S-Cross diesel and i have clocked 1.7Lacs kms in just 5 years. For such usage, i will opt EV.
Note: Its not like battery has lifetime of 8 years. Its replacement warranty is 8 years. Cost for replacement is 5-6 Lacs, which is at this very moment. Think about battery cost after 6 or 7 years. It will be cheaper.

I have owned several cars during last 22 years. Even an 800 cc engine could never ever give average of more than 14 or 15 km/L of petrol. That is why the whole calculation is flawed. It is more a question of having a great experience of driving apart from economics. Every time you take your petrol car for service, it never cost less than Rs.10,000. You also have to see that the EVs are automatic.

i have a petrol cng car WagonR, it give me milage of 20 and 30 minimum real in all conditions, service cost is always 4-7 k per service, i also like evs but dont live in dark, look for all options
In smaller towns, it is stop and go traffic, you'll never exceed 15+ kms/ltr in such environment, EVs shine in this speed. Also, the difference b/w (3 cylinder) manual and single peddle driving should also be considered. In few years, EV maintenance would be DIY (coolant change) mostly and battery/cell upgradation outside OEM.

EV are worst when it comes to maintenance. You can't do DIY stuffs it gets software upgrades as well which is used to degrade battery life and still charging as well range is biggest weak points of EV.
Sometimes after 5 to 6 years...no doubt ev battery wil degrade for some extent.....but we have technologies like cell ballancing....if ev is maintained in good condition.....then there is no need to replace the whole battery......only some degraded cells could be replaced.....which u cant do with petrol engines.....
I am using revolt rv 400 from. Past 3 years......driven 42,000 km.....but still now also....if i maintain a speed of 35km /hr in city drive u wil just reach 5 to 10 mins late at your destination......i get an avg of 1% 2km.....so evry time i am getting an avg of 160 to 180km in single seat and 130 to 150km on double seat. in one single chargem.... I have spend 1.4 lakhs on revolt out of which i have recoverde 85 k rupees by fuel saving....
Same is with cars....if you drive nexov EV at a constant speed of 40 to 45 km in city mode...u can get 1% 3km range....on higways also with constant speed of 70km/hr u can get upto 250 ,to 260 km per charge ..... By maintaining wat/hours near by 100...
People dont drive ev cars in ev ways...they just harsly place accelerater like petrol heads....thus thet dont get good avg.......

Bro, there is a thing called Opportunity Cost, EV ke liye initially jo 3.5 lakhs de rahe hai wo agar invest karte hai to 10% year-on-year growth see 5 lakh ban jate hai In 5 years). Secondly, EVs are easy to drive in city because it's a genuine automatic (Better than AMT, DCT, Torque converter etc) to wo additional benefit hai EV ka. Third, EV me humesha range anxiety hogi, city usage ke liye sahi hai but it cannot be your Primary car (At least in 2023) future me bhale hee ye resolve ho jaye ya fir Hydrogen cars aa jaye, you never know. Basically, EV can be a secondary car and for city usage it is really useful, else, stick to Petrol (Kam chalna hai to), else go with CNG (Benefit of alternate fuel, jo ki EV me nahi hai).

Correct, battery degradation is not 50% it's only 10-15% for 5 years. The missing cost is the EVs tyre replacement needs to be done a little early due to the extra weight of the battery. For ICE cars, there will be engine wear and tear so need to consider that degradation also.

The battery of EV is required to be replaced after 7 years which is around 40% of the Car Cost. This cost per year + 15% hidden loss per year on capital ( that is the purchase cost difference of the cars) should also be considered while calculating per year running expenses of EV.

USA me 10 sal purana Toyota Prius normally 2 lakh km tak chal chuka hota hai. Isliye EV battery warranty ko consider karte hue ye comparison at least 8 se 10 sal ka karte to accha hota. hum logo ko fir bhi pata chal gya EV is cheapest, lekin range anxiety ka kuch nehi ho sakta 😂

Ev गाड़ी की मिनिमम 1000 रिचार्ज साइकल होती हे उस हिसाब से गाड़ी 1000 x 160 km (min) = 1,60,000 km चलेगी। उसके बाद बैटरी degradation चालू होगी 5-10 % पर लाख km। गाड़ी 30% बैटरी dagradation होते होते ऐसे ही 4 लाख km चली जायेगी। तो ऐसा बिलकुल नहीं हैं की गाड़ी 1,60,000 km या 8 साल बैटरी वारंटी के बाद खत्म हो जाएगी। 4 लाख km पे तो 10-15 लाख रूपये ऐसे ही बचा लिए तो गाड़ी sell करनी ही क्यों हे? इतने लाख km चलाने के लिए एक और नई CNG/ पेट्रोल गाड़ी के और 6 लाख रुपए यूंही बचा लिए। FYI: Tesla की गाड़ी 5 से 8 लाख km चल जाती है रेंज कॉम्प्रोमाइज के साथ।

Please refresh your knowledge about ev battries. These are capable of 3000 recharges. That would mean 3000x250 = 750000 km. And still there would be battery left with 70-80 % capacity. With this battery pack you can certainly do 7-8 L km.

Battery warranty is 8 years, it does't mean that it is to be replaced after 8 years. Entire Battery need not to be replace, only degraded cells to be replaced. Battery life is @3000 charging cycles. If you use the EV 1000 km per month, it is to be charged 5 to 6 times a month. So for 1000 km a month running, battery need not to be replaced for entire vehicle life.

अभी भी गाँव मे जरा सी हवा तेज चले या बारिश हो जाये तो पूरी रात या 1 से 2 दिन बिजली गायब हो जाती है, और गर्मी के मौसम मे वोल्टेज पूछो हि ना 100- 120 वोल्ट मिल जाये गो बहुत है, और बिजली गर्मी मे अति भी है तो 8-10 घंटे मुश्किल से उसमे भी कम से कम 50 बार कटती है

Bro The Calculation is Not Correct.
Few Corrections I would like to tell.
1. The Base Model Ev has 19kw Battery which will take 19 units and the commercial chargers are charging max 22-23Rs. per unit... Total Charging would be like 400-450Rs. 0-100%
2. Tiago CNG Doesn't give you mileage of 28Km. Its Max 24-25km/kg so the total becomes 2,40,000 Rs.
3. Batteries in EV are not the same as our household or phone batteries. EVs have LFP batteries which is 5 times more durable than normal lithium ion batteries.
( Tesla Have the same batteries as Tiago and Tesla Came in 2012 and in 10-11 Years the Battery Degradation is about 10-12% Max )
4. Tata is Giving 8 years or 1,60,000 Km. warranty on Motor and Batteries (whichever is earlier ofcourse). So the calculation needs to be calculated according to that. Which will clearly make tiago EV winner.
5. After the Warranty Period is over. For Motor or Batteries. Not all batteries have to be changed, only the faulty battery you need. Also the production of Batteries are also starting in India Now, So the batteries prices will be reduced drastically.
6. Last but not the Least, Ev is automatic so the comparison should be done as per that, in CNG we don't have any automatic model, and in Petrol It's 1.50 lac Expensive which is XTA. And for EV the Same XT MR Model (Second Base) is only 60,000Rs. experience.
Conclusion : EV is not Bad at all, Its not for those who change the vehicle every few years, But definitely worth for the ones who will drive for 8-10 years,
Also when you are Driving something cheaper than the motorcycle itself, your mindset changes, You want to drive more as there's not much hustle or tension of refilling the fuel now and then which certainly effects your monthly expenses,
