Yeah, Front Desk "agents" /clerks always say out loud what the 3rd party Online Travel Agent rate is... Especially within earshot of another guest. /not😂 So unrealistic.
If I was her I would demand they give me the same rate since they were stupid enough to announce what the other person was paying and I wouldn't let them just jerk my card out of my hand
Trivago and other sites are a waste of time. I know several hotels and motels that don't except third party reservations. I've heard good and horrible stories. Call the hotel/motel itself. One place I know is my in-laws best friends own hotels. They never except third party reservations.
And should anything go wrong with your reservation (not your stay) pleeeeeeease don't blame the hotel. Trivago and all third party reservation are responsible for your reservation, not the hotel. Wrong dates... Call third party Wrong rooms ...call third party Wrong price.......call third party Need to cancel... Call third party Need to change dates.... Call third party Nine times out of ten the hotel can do nothing about your third party reservation. It's always best to call the hotel.
This commercial is really dumb. This woman throws her little tantrum because she paid a few dollars more. What isn't mentioned is what size room either patron reserved so how would anyone know who really had the better deal. I just wish commercials wouldn't dumb the information down.
About a month ago CTV aired another older Trivago commercial with Tim. I was really surprised to see it.
