Nice work. This is the only VR mission I wasn't able to complete on dynamic difficulty. This game has a handful of encounters thrown at you that seems way overtuned compared to everything else and this is def one of them.
@@FiremacFuck that mindflayer one. The problem for me there was the targeting just sucked. One problem was being locked on the Mindflayer and casting sleep on all monsters, but I would pick one of the small guys because if the flayer teleported sleep would not cast, but instead of just casting it on the target I chose it would also move my target over to that monster so I would sometimes attack it by accident. The Teleporting Mindflayer was a problem in other ways like teleporting when I picked an ability and the character would just track the nearest monster mid-ability and hit that instead, or holding square/using overcharge as Barret and it would teleport and continue firing on the small enemies. Other times when the Mindflayer just wouldn't move away from one of the small dudes sleeping and got hit with splash damage. Sorry for the rant...it annoyed me so much lol.
To make this easier than this. Cloud, Yuffie, Tifa. All have a healing materia. Someone without Phoenix has raise materia. Elemental+ Fire/Ice, Enemy Skill(for the electric discharge) on Yuffie . Purple everywhere else. Keychain. Magnify+Sleep, Magic Focus+Sleep, Maxed first strike(an ATB boost can be used as well if first strike is not max). Purple everywhere else on Cloud with Enhanced Malboro Orb. Elemental Wind/Lightning, Magnify+Healing. Purples rest(magic and MP up being most important) on Tifa with Pirates Compass (item not relevant IMO) Make Cloud leader so you control him first. Sleep the moment you gain control of the characters. Swap to Yuffie and just do nothing for a second. Swap to Tifa for the same reason. Right off the hop the two non controlled characters will rush at the dark claw in front of them. You have to stop them from breaking the sleep. While doing this Kid G will rush at someone as well, creating the space you need. Never use Summon unless your revival materia person is killed. Then summon Phoenix. Use Arise on them, Reraise of them. Since everyone's focus and magnify materia will likely be random levels. Sleep will be anywhere from 20-40 seconds. Keep an eye on Dark claws and reapply as needed. Best I can tell, no deminishing returns on CC so you could sleep them as long as MP allows. Stay on the edges and get Tifa a Chi 2 while building Kid G pressure. Yuffie is best to dodge goblin beat down. Hold a Cloud ATB charge. As soon as you see goblin beat down, use triple strike. That should pressure him, and cancel it. The second hes staggered, use a Cloud/Yuffie Synergy attack and Rise and Fall>Omnistrike>Star Shower>Divekick from Tifa. Braver from Cloud, Art of War from Yuffie after the synergy. It takes two staggers usually though if you deal alot of damage to Kid G without staggering, one may be enough.. Remember, Sleep! Keep opening action menu and looking at their debuff timer! Once its low, get cloud an ATB and don't use it until the sleep falls off and reapply. The Dark Claws are easy after that. Dodge Reaper Claw, And stagger them fast. Rise and Fall>Someone LB>Omni strike. If all 3 have LB just triple LB a stagger. With Kid G gone your options are rather wide and your margin for error is huge. Can even sleep one and just fight them one at a time.
I really wish they would change this fight. This and the mind flayer don’t feel balanced at all. Every other fight feels good to play so far, but those 2 are just awful. I don’t feel like I need to get good, I just feel frustrated.
Sorry for the late response. But yeah like that materia always help. Once you see it happening, prepare to dodge. Don't really have much better advice than that. Takes a bit of a practice, but it's not that hard to avoid.

Just finished doing this with Cloud, Barett, and Aerith myself 😅 what a stupid challenge lmao. You really do need to constantly switch between characters nonstop for this and just go balls deep in weapon abilities.
After 2 hours I managed to do this with Cloud, Tifa and Yuffie on Dynamic mode. I made sure everyone had Arise, I did manage to get a summon after about 5 minutes which helped to deal some damage and keep me alive. I just scraped through :) Although I tried sleep on the Claws and focussing on Kidd G, I found that smashing the Claws first was a better route. One thing that helped to time the constant need to dodge was to rotate the stick so I can actually see rather than guess. I didn’t bother using magnify and Barrier although I had it equipped. Tifa is great do deal heavy combo damage and increase stagger. Congrats to all that managed this very annoying combat simulator. It wasn’t quite as annoying as the Shinra Reception Manager task in the colosseum, the Jokers and Toad took me 3.5 hours 🤦🏾♂️
The devs are out of their got damn minds with these late game combat missions. To have that Gremlin constantly poking and harassing you while those DEMONS are present is ridiculous. Still beat it though.

I had a hard time beating it on Normal lmao 😅 i couldn’t imagine playing hard or dynamic I think I would uninstall the game
It seems you can use Sleep on the darkclaws.
