HBCU Wind symphonies... Please understand... We need to see more of us perform at these venues.
Definitely agree!!! It’s nice to do the halftime shows, but we will never be taken seriously if we don’t attend these events.
This FAMU Wind Symphony performance at CBDNA is the 14 regional or national invitational performance for FAMU since 1975. Norfolk State, Howard, AL A&M have done two and there are another one or two bands here and there.
Come on CLARINETSSSSS🔥🔥🔥
FAMU music program is just on a different level. Hubba Doc’ 🐍🐍
Wow!! We need an altar call! What a performance! Couldn't be more proud of my alma mater!
Excellent job Dr. Chipman and FAMU symphony! Would love to see more! ❤
Simply outstanding! 🐍🐍🐍
Oh god..this is amazing
When Dr. Chipman stepped of the podium I thought he was gonna collect an offering LOL. I also so you Dr. Sobkowska-Parsons!
Simply amazing!! Also go tubas!! ❤❤
8:43 - once again, the obnoxiously loud syncopated trumpet/trombone pattern. never disappoints 🤣
I think the trrp/trom duet pays homage to the Dizzy Gillespie's song, "Salt Peanuts." FYI- "Come Sunday," composed by Omar Thomas, won the prestigious NBA Revelli Award in 2019 for the most outstanding band composition of the year. Thomas is the first African American to receive this prize. The National Band Association is the largest band director organization in the world. I think the soli duet is intended to offer a 2-second comedic relief in the middle of the mvt.
YOO!!!!!! WTF?!?!!!!!! ❤❤❤
I performed on this stage more than like 3 times XD
that took me to the church and to the junk joint. a little bit of everything. a full performance.
