Everyone cheering Joe to get up, but he pretty much gives up until Nanbu of all people tells him to get up. That's powerful! Not even Yuri's 'pep-talk' hit him that hard! He was ready to give up because he thought Nanbu gave up on him, but then he didn't! And all of a sudden Joe got his second wind!
Love the scene so much. Something not a lot of people get is the theming here. He came into this fight knowing he had to throw it and wearing his gear, thinking his coach has no faith in him. At this moment he's no longer "Gearless Joe" But the moment nanbu says get up it gives him hope and he stands up, his gear falling off, and he's Gearless Joe once more
Gotta hand it to Nanbu. Not ONLY did he knock out a mafia-second and hold his own against 2 younger underlings long enough to get Joe back in the fight, he did all of this WILLING to pay the high price for his insubbordination.
If you ever get hurt and you feel that you're goin' down this little angel is gonna whisper in your ear. It's gonna say, "Get up you son of a bitch! Because Nanbu loves ya"!
Wrong anime. This anime is about the story behind the fights. Not the fights themselves. It's isn't flashy it's GENUINE. It's about living your life to the fullest and being the happiest you can be. Not being a "slave" to anything. Taking your future in your own hands.

DJFlare84 father figure to a stray dog
This is what I love about this series
It's because he said "Tate! Tatsunda, Joe!", which are Danpei's famous words from Ashita no Joe's ending 1
@@jqkm2420 amazing callback to the original
@@jqkm2420 I thought that was his catchphrase all through Ashita no joe 1
This is what real anime is
Tell them!!!
Yup pretty good but, have you watched ashita no joe megalo box is based on ashita no joe
Looks like American cartoon not anime
@@j4naid__415
It does not like modern anime.
Megalobox emulates a style that is closer to the 90s
Hajime no ippo is close
Single greatest moment in all of anime! That's a Nanbu Gansaku guarantee!

Pal we watched the anime, everyone who watched it got that.
The man Joe wanted win over more than anyone was the only one who could have got Joe to stand back up…father figure to a stray dog
This anime was the perfect tribute to Ashita no Joe. Both Joes always got back up no matter what. I loved them both.
My favorite episode, everything does change when someone believes in you like the way you believe in yourself
This scene > universe
Xd
I would like to stare at someone in the same way Yuri stares at Joe
Dude, I've been doing that since I was a kid. If ever someone is making you feel uncomfortable, just give 'em the Yuri glare 0:30 Works like a charm.
Pp
This anime, this anime is the genuine article
It’s the real deal
"I can't let it end like this, can I?"
This scene > every modern day cartoon

It's here Junk Dog was no longer a stray.
He found his home in Megalonia.
This is one of the most powerful moments in TV for me personally
This was the show at it's best.
This was the perfect time for the theme.
This is where you can really tell they were inspired by Ashita No Joe
Yes
1:32 --> Most badass moment in anime history
Watching this right before my Calculus AP Exam
this is one hell of a motivational speech !
I have been watching this scene for years and it still makes me tear up and clench my fist ! 🥊
He has to be in jumpforce as a dlc
Michael Ramirez I’d rather Hajime no Ippo
Add Joe from Ashita no Joe and make Gearless Joe an alternative skin
Ashita No Joe reference. TATSUNDA JOE
This anime helped me quit smoking 🚬. And now.. I'm finally chasing my dream of being a boxer

Sometimes you just need ppl that will believe in u
Coach Nanbu is a G for this
the best scene of that anime
I saw captain marvel in theaters, and when I got home, I saw this. My body and soul was not prepared for all the epicness and badassery.
I got to see this in a movie theater, it was awesome
