@Akyra23 No, it's a common expression in English. In case you're refering to Smash Mouth's song All Star, it was released in 1999, two years before it was even used in Shrek. I also didn't think of it when I used that expression.

There is no Chara .... their is no Frisk ..... their is only the PLAYER or Kris.
James Verner Toby Fox made Kris to be both Frisk and Chara so Kris share their emotions and feelings to others even Susie

I see Kris, Frisk and Chara as three separate individualizes.
Chara .... the oldest and most psychopathic, she is nothing more then a representation of a pure evil spirit to me. The worst in all of us players.
Frisk .... The fallen child that once controlled by the player can ether resist all influence and keep their personality (pacifist) or lose their mind as Chara's puppet (genocide).
Finally there is Kris..... Truly the most "painted" of the three, he (yes I choose to call "Kris" a he) has some backstory and past relationships in Deltarune as the town's prankster of sorts.
He is also under control but not from Chara or frisk .... no they don't EXISTS in deltarune. Kris is under the control of the HUMAN PLAYER. He has chosen to fight that entity as we have clearly seen.
Now you can assume that Chara is back , she was the villain before after all. The canon name given to act as a in game scapegoat for the players actions. It was a good narrative by toby but that was in Undertale. This is Deltarune and until something in game says their responsible for the ending of chapter 1, I'm trusting my eyes on this one.
I only saw two individualize in that bedroom. The PLAYERS SOUL locked in a cage and Kris (ONLY KRIS ) holding a knife and looking directly at the forth wall.

@@jamesverner9132 Don't forget that Frisk never did actually do anything in neutral and pacifist but say their name - all actions were made by US following Chara's suggestions. When they said their name to Asriel, Frisk claimed our actions as their own - thus, this story suddenly turns from our story to Frisk's. This is no longer our story, these are no longer our friends - all because of one word. Chara was never the Genocide maniac, and Frisk was never the pacifist. Chara just followed our decisions, and they were the narrator of the story. You can clearly tell that narrator is not monotonously talks about stuff, but describes stuff that neither Frisk or us can know. Chara saved Asriel. We befriended monsters. Frisk did nothing.
so remember how when we are watching susie get out of jail and deal with lancer, and how our soul went to her to keep her from getting hurt by lancer? well also remember how when susie finally returns to Kris and Ralsie, Ralsie was speaking to Kris. maybe that wasnt just Ralsie having a one sided conversation. what if the real Kris was speaking.
I just went back to some game play found the moment your talking about Ralsei says ""So that's why Ok Kris,,.
next"Suzie you came to save us I knew you had the heart of an hero suzie,,. eh heart? as in literal so the players trait could be heroism in game wow that could quiet an trope turnaround with us doing the heroic thing messed everything up.
I think they're going by the idea that we, as the players, are the soul and are just controlling Kris to do whatever the hell.
@@cheatexp yea i got that. i meant in the particular scene in the game. when we arnt looking at kris but still controlling the soul, and then when we come back Ralsie was talking to kris, even though we wernt there to talk to him. and it sounded like an unusual conversation to be having given we wertn there to responde. so i was wondering if in that scene, we actually wernt in controll of kris, just our soul. and kris had a short moment of freedom right then.

IF THIS COMIC IS CLOSE TO WHAT HAPPENS IN CAPTER 2 THEN SUSIE WILL GET HERSELF TRAPED IN THE DARK WORLD. WE WILL OLSO BE JOINED BY RALSAI AND LANCER FOR OUR TEAM TRYING TO GET ANSWERS AND GETTING SUSIE OUT OF THE DARK WORLD WITH OUT KRIS

In all honesty, this is probably the best deltarune comic ive seen so far. It makes the most sense lore wise.
I cant help but feel that the next episode toby fox releases is going to be like the plot of Cry of Fear, only we have to defeat chara or something.

I think this is an analogy of how the player desires to be their own character because in the beginning, the game literally forces you to be Kris, a character you probably don't even like that much. And because of this, you take any chance to act as yourself. This could be supported when Kris' body, not Kris himself, rips its own soul out if its body and throws it into the cage, symbolizing it has decided to be itself. In this story, Kris even literally says "I want to be myself. I dont want to be someone else!".

Oh wow, that really explains it then.
We, the player, we're the bad guy. By taking Kris's life, by controlling them, making choices for them, they don't get to life. *We're* the bad guy. I'm guessing as the player, we have a choice. We can choose to be the bad guy and take Kris's choices...or we can make the decision to be the good guy, and give Kris his life back. A life. His sole purpose was to be played as a game, but maybe if we let go, his purpose isn't to entertain us. If we give back control, then we make the choice that matters, and what matters is Kris's life in his own hands.

Did you guys notice at the sentence ' I even broke out ofthier control because I wanted to protect you...! ' This might be a sign that with ' Thier ' Kris meant us and that might have some explaination on the rest of the comic. WE didn't chose to protect Susie when the king attempted to attack her, Kris did it by himself ( but it's just my opinion )
