What a wonderful period film this is! Once again sat watching this whilst looking out to the Solent. Seems that the pace of change on the Island is increasing now, even over the last few years. Perhaps less so to the West. The Needles remain and amazing and unspoilt sight, and once which I plan to take in again today :-)
The narrator is Dorset broadcaster Ralph Wightman (1901-1971) on whose voice Kenneth Williams famously based his radio character Arthur Fallowfield!

IoW seems to have changed quite a bit in the last 60 years but it's still a lovely place. Going back there in holiday again next month.
