    Issued by the IFM-Kering Sustainability Chair, the Fashion Sustainability Certificate is an interdisciplinary program bringing together 40 students selected for their motivation to work on a real-life impact project. Complementary to the sustainability-related courses taught in each of the school's programs, it offers students the opportunity to work for 6 months on a concrete project, enabling them to address one or more aspects of sustainability: social impact, solidarity, materials revaluation, circularity, eco-responsible products, participation and commitment. On March 28th, 2024, the 6 contributing projects developed by IFM students of Fashion Sustainability Certificate have been presented to a jury of fashion industry experts and leaders of partner associations (Jean-Marc Bellaiche, President of the Printemps Group, Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye, Vice-President of UNICEF France, Marie-Claire Daveu, Chief Sustainability and Institutional Affairs Officer at Kering,Guy Morgan, Sustainability Director, Fashion at Chanel, Anouck Duranteau-Loeper, CEO of Isabel Marant, Françoise Gaille, biologist, scientific advisor at the CNRS and President of the Ocean Sustainability Foundation, Pierre-Arnaud Grenade, CEO of Bash, Jean Hingray, Senator for the Vosges and member of the Commission for Culture, Education, Communication and Sport, Rosalie Mann, Founder and President of the No More Plastic Foundation, Pascal Morand, Executive President of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode and Xavier Romatet, Dean of IFM).
    For the first time, the jury was held at the Palais du Luxembourg (Senate) under the patronage of Senator Jean Hingray.
    Fashion ReShape: Bezalel x IFM x Kering
    IFM and the Jewelry and Fashion Department, Bezalel Academy in Israel have been partnering over the last months and tailor-made 3 visionary concepts to address the issue of unsold stocks.
    ◼ REGEN-AI is an innovative and impactful solution that addresses two critical Fashion concerns: raw material production negative impact and unsold stock management. By leveraging AI and 3D design groundbreaking capabilities, REGEN-AI’s goal is to help brands deal with the vast diversity of their unsold stocks and by doing so, to allow them to rethink their material flows more circularly by repurposing them into new desirable garments!

    ◼ PINE TEX combines traditional craftsmanship with 3D scanning and design, creating distinctive pieces from surplus stock and 100% organic pine resin. The result is a unique product derived from pre-existing elements. The vision is simple yet powerful: to maximize the use of resources by transforming them 100% into exclusive, sustainable pieces. In collaboration with Fondation Anaïs for the disassembling and Arrosia for the pine resin.

    ◼ REWEAVE combines a social dimension with innovative technological recycling solutions, while forging links between different strata of society. REWEAVE transforms clothing into yarn using an innovative defibering recycling technology. As part of a program of co-creation and social empowerment, the yarn is reused to create rugs using ancestral techniques and know-how. the impact of industry while creating cultural narratives. A REWEAVE rug will be a work of art for life, passed down from generation to generation, telling the story of innovation, transformation, collaboration and transmission. In collaboration with Closeoop, Espero Atelier and La Tisserie Parisienne.
