      Hi there, I don’t/have never painted a full buttercream cake (just maybe a name). They can be placed in the fridge, but you would need to be very careful when bringing it back to room temperature as it could sweat and the paint could run or discolour. If I use glitter on a buttercream cake, I just use the non aerosol lustre puffs all over the cake once decorated x

      Colouring it a similar colour just helps with the covering of the paint (as in if you slightly miss a section, it won’t stand out as bad). You can leave if white, but depending on the paint, you may need more layers of paint to ensure it’s covered.

    Hi would you be able to tell me how much Luster Dust I'd have to use for a 9 inch cake ? I'm making 3 to get the height I want but where I live , they only sell the 4gram Luster Dust and it's expensive .. Your response would be greatly appreciated

    • @NautyLittleTreats
      @NautyLittleTreats 5 років тому +2

      Hi Melissa x I honestly don’t know how much you would need for a 9” cake. I would recommend using the Colour Splash dust. It’s a 5g pot. The cake in the pic is 6” round approx 5” tall and I didn’t use the whole pot. So maybe 2 to be on the safe side. I purchased mine from www.icedjemsshop.com for only £2.35 each x hope this helps x
