On the Long Island, the H Class Consols, were the general purpose engines, even pulling passengers! The New Haven,in the same Territory as the B&M,used Moguls, and only had about a handful of Consols! And over on the B&A there was a considerable number of G Class Consols! When those lines, paralleled, each other, engine spotting must have been most interesting,as the only source of data, was the RAILROAD magazine! And the Boston area, was awash in multiple lines,in every direction! History strikes again, and thank you,for getting the B&M side! Thank you 😇 😊!

After watching both episodes, I find myself wishing more accurate models were made of B&M power. I would love to have an Elesco equipped K8 leading a short freight at the club!

I remember in 1955 while at the Southampton, NY home of my father’s cousin bc seeing a Look or Life magazine photo article of steam locomotives being cut up. It was horrifying to a seven year old steam lover.

I would love to see a video about the N. Billerica shops sometime in the near future. It’s my hometown and it leaves a lot of memories

Was kinda expecting this one to be next, although I guess there isn’t any recordings of their whistles then. Still an awesome episode

Really enjoyed this. Do you have any info on the southern end of the Ct river line? The area around Holyoke to Springfield?

We certainly do! There are some great stories about the Conn River line in these episodes of our podcast:
