The campaign does an excellent job at portraying how hard it would be to kill Uther I had to use 30 ghouls while holding position since Uther would bubble 5 times in the fight and nearly instakill my ghouls with his lvl 3 Holy Light and shit man his aura gave him like 10 armor total. HEROIC armor.
So cool seeing how much effort you put into it during live streams. It turned out really good, models, setting, lighting, over all atmosphere... everything.
I like the way Uther touches Arthas' face in his last moment. Kinda goes against the whole "I dearly hope there's a special place for you in hell" line a moment before, but it's a nice touch. It's pretty clear in some ways Uther was more of a father to Arthas than Teranas, and this moment remains one of the best in all of Warcraft history.
I mean Arthas might have used this illusion trick to strike Uther faster, paladins are great in defence if I was as cold hearted as him there is no shame using that technique against his mentor/god father.

If it is a fair fight and no lich king's intervention, Arthas will be defeated by Uther.
I hope you have enough free time to make all of the warcraft3 cutscenes into movie like this, that will make your chanel very popular. Just one note, add some expresion on character faces. I wish you good luck.
I really liked the creative license you took with their "duel" at the very end. Him actually winning and not being able to kill him. Fits with the story both due to Arthas famously not being able to be a good swordsman and also Uther's power as a Paladin.
He wasn't famously a poor swordsman. He was worse than varian who had been training longer. Which probably says more about varians skill than arthas. Technically arthas was forced to rely mostly on skill and experience to defeat illidan who at the time was stronger.

While Arthas got his powers restored and maybe even increased at the start of the duel by the LK channeling all he had in Frostmourne, Illidan was stronger because of the skull of Gul'dan power. Going into an argument like X doesn't beat Y without this or that is stupid, each character got his power in his own way. As a side note: Arthas holding his ground against such a powerful demon like Illidan and managing to use to oportunity to beat him proves that Arthas is a very good swordsman

On one hand, this is awesome, absolutely amazing animation. On the other hand, Uther seeing goofy looking low polygon child model of Arthas made me laugh. And when Uther says "I DEARLY HOPE THERE'S A SPECIAL PLACE IN HELL WAITING FOR YOU ARTHAS!" to which Arthas replies in edgy manner "We may never know, I intend to live forever" after which Uther awkwardly strokes his cheek. These seemed more silly than sad to me, however I might be the minority. Still, it's rare to see such good animations.

@@RedJackz well that's the thing in such arcs...especially in fantasy ...in magic the gathering ...ugin the spirit dragon was dead and gone ...insert his spirit...time travel then timelines changed and he came back....they did the same with grom hellscream for a bit...so quite possible...may not be time travel but spirit well ...etc etc....his character has potential and is under utilized
Was this done in UE5? The characters look awesome. As if they were made for motion capture except there was no motion capture. The expressions look a bit limited. With motion capture this might be (ofc way more expensive) the best capture of this scene ever, including all of Blizzards work. You already put their cheap butts to shame with this work.
Thanks! And it's UE4, and well honestly this is a style I've grown not to be fond of for wow models, they end up looking too "gritty" which in my opinion does not fit their aesthetic (plus it's a pain in the ass to do lmao)

Kind of wished we got some blood effects or something coming out of Uther's chest when the sword goes through. Seeing the sword go through so cleanly with no visible damage does take me out of the moment a little. Maybe do what the Terenas death cinematic did by just showing the shadow of Uther getting stabbed by Arthas, or sway the camera away when he gets stabbed, Still an awesome lore moment to see. Also the Lion King music you used fits the Warcraft feel extremely well, good job.
The wow novel 'King Arthas' put a lot more weight to this scene. Arthas almost lost the fight initially, and was deeply affected by how anguished Uther looked when he was killed.
