Gabe is right - it is a rest - silence for 1 count. I have my youngest students say "Shh" on that beat. Eventually we take the "shh" sound away so that it's just a beat of silence.
@@musicwithmrs.kincaid2151 Hi there, I was wondering, next time you make one of the great videos could you record it as a tutorial? That would be sooo helpful. Thanks in advance, KM
I have a few who can snap, and quite a few who cannot, so I honestly tell them to pretend. I once dislocated my middle finger on my right hand so I cannot snap with that hand...I demonstrate how I pretend as well. I just wanted a slightly softer sound there.
Make sure you clarify that the sound is coming from their finger hitting their hand, not from the fingers coming in contact with each other. My 4 year old is able to snap with that explanation.
Great video! I plan on using this with my K and 1st grade students. But, before I do, can I ask what motion does the picture of the boy mean? I can't figure it out! Thanks :)
I do the same as Mark who also responded. I just tap my chest. Funny story - several of my students put their other hand in the air because the icon of the child has it's hand raised also!! I didn't expect this!
We don't talk about bruno but it was my wedding day it was our wedding day and bruno with mistirous grin and bruno says it looks like rain blablabla when he floods my brain abuela get the umbrellas
Thank you! Early Elementary music teacher here, who needed a filler activity!!! Perfecto!!

Not a music teacher here, what does the black mark/note mean?

Hi! May I ask which software or program do you use to create such videos? :)
Same question!!!
Honestly, I use Google Slides, a screen recorder chrome extension, and iMovie on my phone!
@@musicwithmrs.kincaid2151 Great! That's how I do mine too, but yours look so much more polished :)

What do the two hands side by side mean, they show up right when Isabella starts singing?
It's sliding your hands over one another, so creating a sound of them shifting against each other.
@@alexisscangas5073 Yep - she's got it!
Great video! How do you find teaching young kids to snap their fingers? It even took me a long time to be able to do this.

I’m using it as a chest tap. Deep tone if you will…
