Connecting the Bongo into power // Mazda Bongo // Ford Freda

I'm fed up with always unclipping croc clips to keep my Bongo on charged, so I have installed an SAE 12v connector.

Thought about it but I don't have the need for one.. I only need to keep the batteries topped up if I don't drive the van much. At least until I get some solar power 😁😁

Nice! I have a plug under the bonnet for when I want to use my CTEK charger but your idea is quicker and easier. I guess you could fuse the positive cable, close to the battery, just in case the wire shorts to earth but apart from that 👍🏼👍🏼. Your front tyres don’t look great but I’m sure they’re on your list of future jobs. 😉 Keep up the good work and have great Christmas!

Yes, front tyres are pretty knackered on the outer edge due to someone changing the track rod ends and then not re-tracking the van (me) 🙄 🙈 .. one of those jobs I keep forgetting to do.. 🤣 New tyres due after Xmas, so tracking at the same time.

how did you get it through the grommit?

Just aimed it towards the centre of the grommet and it pushed through the hole where the existing wires go through 😁
