For anyone who doesn't know, the indicator on the dash of the Gifu (and the Hayosiko) that looks like a couple of loops is the glow plug indicator. If you're starting a diesel engine cold, the glow plugs need to heat up before the engine starts. If you just start the electrics (click the ignition key but don't hold) and wait until the indicator turns off, then crank the engine it will start right up. You won't hurt anything by just cranking the engine until it starts, but I find holding the key and listening to the engine crank for like 8-10 seconds is slightly annoying. I like to put the key in to start warming the plugs and then go load up whatever I need to take with me so that when I'm ready to go, so is the engine.
@vendybirdsvadl7472 maybe? That's not really how it works in the real world. It's only there to help the engine start and warm up because without it the engine has a probability to ware out faster or put to much strain on it trying to get the fuel to ignite on cold days. Because ofc, unlike gas engines, which have spark plugs, diesel is ignited by extreme compression
@@Gtdubsterx7 Not sure if it makes a difference that the game is based in 1995. According to my father, the way the game does it is fairly accurate to how things worked before more modern quick heating systems. I never drove an older diesel, so I wouldn't know for sure. I can assure you this is 100% how it works in the game though.
Your tutorials really helped me advance in my gameplay, no pointless talking and straight to the point plus all the handy tips on how to do stuff better 🙏🙏
Thank you for those kind words!!! I hate tutorials that take 30 minutes to get to the point so I try to make them as quick and concise as possible. Maybe I miss something every now and again but its because I feel some information is unnecessary to getting the job done (basically things you can find out later easy)
@@Baineybruce use range switch button, you can map it to anything you want. I have mapped my gear up and down to up and down arrow, range toggle is right and clutch is left arrow key.
Bad thing is this isn't quite realistic enough to my liking, as old Sisu driver i would love to have 16-speed Fuller (4 gear base box, range and splitter) in the game as Sisus used to have. Unsynchronized, of course.
hey ginauz, just wondering why my satsuma is leaking oil, i put on a new oil filter, tightned the 13 bolt, and it is not damaged but still leaks oil out the oil filter, after disconnecting it, it wont let me put another oil filter on it
That death was painful :(
random slow explosions are never nice
Didnt see the hole video yet but already know which dead you mean lol
Video finished now and i know that was the dead i was expecting lol

Same. Also feels satisfying starting it like that
i was just about to comment this... same for the van too it helps the engine start and like stay healthy
i feel like actually doing this on the gifu has a benefit as i feel like im stalling less when i actually wait for it to heat up

i really like your videos gina, i've put like 20 MSC hours in 4 days and im sure i couldn't have done half the stuff without your vids, keep it up!
Thank you for watching!
I love using the range selector in the Gifu, starting in low 1-2 before switching into high 2-6. Super satisfying
How do you switch ranges

Just discovered you and you are a LIFE SAVER thank you:)
I love how realistic this game is. I drive US trucks irl, and it's quite similar to Eaton fullers. Thanks!

@ninefingerdeathgrip That would br very cool! Also, very nice! I hear sisu trucks are good
i love driving the gifu like it's a dakar truck
You need to let the glow plugs worm up for it to start properly every time 👍❤️
man i wish these guides were around when i first started this game, im 330 hours deep now
shame you can't take suski on a ride in the paska love machine!
She's missing out, that bad boy has a bed and party lights... what more do you want?
I really love the Gifu U usually take the dirt road though
I mean I 😅 I usually take the dirt road and use the red fuel also the dirt road is more fun unless you kill someone or get killed by the pena😢
i would love to have a vid how to shift gears on that thing cuz its pain on H shifters
Unfortunately I only use a controller so I have no idea how to H shift! I am sure someone must have made a good video on it though
@@Ginauz probably its just realistic feature how gearbox was pain to use on those things
Wait gina i think i can drift gifu (i actually can lol) when its full of poop and when the axle is up
