I bought a 2016 used qx80 for 20k best bang for the buck. The v8 is a monster and tows my boat like nothing. Extremely reliable as well. The Bose sound system is great too for long trips. I've had a lot of cars in my life and this one is up there.
Don’t understand why people are moaning about 90k when you have vehicles like Kia Telluride going for 60k these days. This is not late 90s or early 2000s, demand and price of SUVs have increased. Instead of complaining look into something your price range, something like GMC Terrain
Ever since I heard some windowlicker referring to his Telluride as a "telly ex" the very mention of that thing has me in stitches 🤣 I thought he was on about a streaming service and asked him if they had porn
I'd make the same observation that others have that the Platinum trimmed Armada does the same for much less money, but its a shame that HBMC is only available on this trim of the qx80, on paper it should do wonders against bodyroll.
That's not exactly all true. The Amada doesn't come with the body motion sensor like Infiniti does. The styling much better look more prestigious looking. Sort like the differences with the GMC's compared to the Cadillac same difference.
I'd choose this over any full size luxury suv (even the Mercedes GLS & Cadillac Escalade) if they would make this more luxurious. All the exterior lights should be 100% LED. As a matter of fact, Infiniti makes some amazing looking cars. I'd choose them over their luxury competitors if they were better in terms of luxury. Nissan is letting this brand die when they could possibly bring it back just by having more luxury amenities.
I agree that something needs to change, because the Infiniti version of this vehicle is a terrible value proposition when compared to the Nissan-badged Armada. You're paying 20-40k more for a bit of extra tech, different (worse, the Armada at least looks like a Patrol is supposed to) exterior styling, and slightly nicer interior materials. That's it.
You’d be better off going for something like a Toyota Sequoia, it’s quite a bit cheaper and it’s way more updated. With the QX your paying $90k for an interior that looks straight out of 2012. You can get a Sequoia Limited or Platinum trim for roughly 15-20k less, and the Sequoia is completely updated. The Sequoia may not have a V8, but it’s TTV6 engine is way more powerful than a V8.
They need to make updates to this car, the V8 is a good thing but the rest of the car needs a makeover, it’s way outdated compared to its competitors. Especially when your paying $90k.
It is laughable they want almost $100k for this. Who in their right mind would pay that much. A BMW, Mercedes, etc. you could get for that money would be objectively better in every single way.
@@user-sv2wy6gx7u mercedes or bmw suggest you low quality rubbish with creak interior, fake leather, cheap audio system (if you will not pay 5-7k dollars+, and even thenit will not be better than bose in infinity) and turbo juice under hood
Toyota-esqe quality in the interior without being toyota-like in pricing. Simply splashing some leather here and there does not make up for the abysmal (by today's or 2020's standards) infotainment system and driver's gauges. Sure, it's a V8 that you will soon not be able to get anymore, but people should really ask themselves if it's worth paying 91k for a vehicle of this standard simply for the size. If they only fetch other people or haul goods once in awhile, then it makes way more sense to get a smaller car, or at least one with a modern in-line/V6. The Q50 is another repeat offender which has not been updated at all since it came out in 2014. Worse, it was dependent on the Mercedes E class at the time, which has already been through TWO new generations. I really feel like people who get Infiniti cars post 2020 cannot see the forest for the trees.
um I think it boils down to personal opinions on what people like, not everyone likes all the new difficult screen stuff. Not everyone is use to it so we got to make high quality cars that is still decently easy to use especially for the older generation people. More tech doesn't always mean it's better, 90k for a car is a lot of money and I can understand it's a bit older design. But hey, like I mentioned before, a lot of people especially the older generation rather spend 90k on this vs screens in your face. It just boils down to what u want out of your luxury vehicle. This suv is simple, high quality leather and a decent amount of tech that isn't too much but just enough, ohh and a V8. Also size adds up the bucks too. And saying simply splashing leather here and there? The whole interior is almost made out of the leather, the parts that are not like some of the dash is soft touch high quality material and most luxury cars are like that. It's not a rolls Royce or a Bentley, gotta take everything in consideration.
It has new intertainment with good dysplay. What do you need? It has wireless carplay, android auto. It has on of the best audio system in class. Materials of interior and colors better than most cars in the market. Quality of materials and assembly so good. You sort of people whom ALWAYS need "NEW" cars, even OLD gen better in much sides, LOL.
I agree and asked the same questions. It's like they all are engaged in a conspiracy 😆 but I'll say this also, They all tells us about the fuel being terrible but a huge v8 like this what do you expect? And the tech is reliable to and is just fine. Excellent ride too!!! I'd buy one.
This car looks good, but is very dated. Also, in-person, I was surprised at how “thin” the doors felt. It photographs well, but it’s not as “thick” of an SUV as one would think.
The observation about the doors is very true. My friend’s family had a 2017, and it obviously felt incredibly dated, and the weight of the doors shocked me. It didn’t feel premium at all. I’m used to Mercedes doors, which are known to be a bit heavy, but I’ve felt doors on stuff like Hondas and Toyotas that have felt 10x better.

Why would people pay 90k for a qx80? The nissan aramada is cheaper and looks the exact same on the inside! All Infiniti did was change the outside a bit. But the body is the same and the interior. Gosh! I can't wrap my head around why people pay for this rip off!
Not really anymore, that was the early second gens, when they were the QX56 (2011-2013), when 2014 came around they found the issue with the oil regulator orifices not being large enough in the timing chain area. There was recalls and retrofits for affected ones as well. 2015 and beyond have the new design and hasn't really been an issue since.

I like simplicity in car and I like this it is not overly futuristic like every other car in the market
people think 90k its really expensive. here in Brazil one car like that one you would pay nothin' less then 400k. not joking, an sw4 is about 430k
It's really bringing back memories when my dad crashed the 08 qx56

90K for a time machine to 2005...
Don't complain man, here in Brazil a car like that doesn't cost less than 500k...
