Very exciting insights to expand on current events in Syria. Different aspects and perspectives - including the historical causes and facts about the situation are slowly forming a larger picture, which fit together like pieces of a puzzle and complement each other. Old and new parties to the conflict mingle with new interests of powerful players and actors in global politics, geopolitics and for economic reasons, and cultural processes and not to forget the diverse regional claims of world religions, including religious minorities. Only the indigenous people or peoples seem to me to always get the short end of the stick, especially with regard to their right to exist (international law/self-determination) and "human dignity" (humanity) in general, that makes me very sad! I don't want to give up hope, and I sincerely wish for the long-awaited peace on earth for all people/ethnics and nations. 🕊️ 🌹🌿 Being Human. Being Loving. Be Peace. Great overview. Thank you for your efforts to give us a deeper insight into what has happened, is actually happening or could/will happen in an area that attracts enormous geopolitical activity thanks to its historical importance and the importance that is still attached to it today. And I am convinced that, in addition to all the aspects of power that come into play, despite all the modern-day tendencies to deny religion, there is still a subliminal, age-old desire for religious dominance that fuels the disputes. And I am curious to see which forces will ultimately put an end to this unspeakable conflict; a conflict that is ultimately the fuse on the barrel of TNT, to understate this euphemistically.
