I keep my hatched artemia in the bottle incubator the whole time since hatced, and only take some of them to feed the cory fry, only small portions. The rest of them is still in the bottle, with air intake for up to a week. Yes, they will lose some properties, and thei are not that orange after a week, but they are all alive. After a week i collect whatever they left and put them in my main tank as food for my fish, and prepare another batch from zero.
The standard mix is 1 teaspoon of salt to 1 litre of water. With this ratio you raise them to adulthood. You have made a mix that will kill them because it’s too salty.
Can we do the same for decapsulated ones? Uk after dissolving the dried bbs that are already hatched (not live) in to the water and then adding the salt water to it…..then by placing them into the refrigerator
I don't know to say thanks or not just yet. Our first time hatching brine shrimp here and it's so weird watching them swim around. I will try your method of preservation because in theory the science works, so why not just try the method because I still have to transfer the fry. Only problem is we do not have a net with that small of a grid pattern. Anyway amazing and we will try the fridge. Well maybe not just yet, I think I have to transfer them tonight because they have developed eyes, some are still black though, but I'm sure you probably know that changes fast
Thanks a lot man, I was searching a solution for this as lot of my baby brine shrimps were getting dead approximately 8-10 hours after they are hatched. And this is what I was looking for. Thanks once again for sharing this video. Please can you suggest where to get that net in which you filtered artemia and rinsed them. Please let us know that too.. I couldn't find it. Thanks in advance! 😊
Look for a net that is specifically for adult shrimp such as red cherry shrimp. The net I have is smaller than the one in the video but it just as sturdy. Happy Hatching 🐣. It is really interesting to see the Baby Brine Shrimp swim about. 🎃
I do not wash them. The amount of salt left in the brine shrimp net is very small after straining and if you are doing regular water changes, it never accumulates enough to harm the fish (and may even be good for them).
Hello friend, I was wondering how did you make your brine shrimp net? It looks like you made it yourself and I'm trying to do something similar so I can save some money.
@@praveenkumar200200 use any coffee filter with 125 mesh to 200 mesh will work to wash artemia if you want to separate empty egg shells or unhatched egg shells use 2 nets together upper one with at least 80 mesh which will hold egg shells collecting net or bottom net at least 125 mesh to 200 mesh for collecting clean artemia.

I do it cuz the water has a whole lot of ammonia and nitrite build up from the shrimp
You can also feed them spirulina powder to stay alive
Super video and informative keep rocking 🥰🥰
Very helpful, Do i collect and keep the artemia in a closed container ? Is there any issue with the other foods while i keep open in a glass ?
Open container you can keep.
No harm for other food
Before feeding better wash it with fresh water
Hello friend, I was wondering how did you make your brine shrimp net? It looks like you made it yourself and I'm trying to do something similar so I can save some money.
I got it from some sellers. What they use is some cloths which i am not 100% what kind of cloth it is
Very informative. Thank you...
Which salt did you use?
Rock salt

No needed
Good video. btw, There is no such thing as 'fries' - 1 baby fish is a fry. 1000s of baby fish are fry.
Thanks for correcting. Much appreciated 👍
That is if they are the same species. If they are of diff species, u cna use fries (fishes likewise) for diff species
