The young guy matching the scales with his throat singing is another legendary singer that you are aware of … Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. He is the Ustaad’s nephew and trained under him for decades and now an Ustaad (Master) in his own right
Nusrat was just on another lever, truly unmatched, he is known as the King of Kings for Qawali music...Jeff Buckley even sung his songs in Urdu he was one of his biggest fan and Peter Gabriel called Nusrat along with Otis Redding to have most soulful voices. If only you could understood the poetry/lyrics with his vocals that is what got Billions in South Asia hooked and still does 25 years after his death. Andre did jutice here.. please react to ""Legendary Pakistani Singer goes Metal [Sanson Ki Mala Pe]""
yes, and I was just going to mention it!! i completely agree!!! thats lyrically and composition wise more epic and orgasmic... you will see the level of Sir Nusrat. I guarantee it will move you into another level when you listen to it with Cc on
Well, metal can be mixed with any type of music in fact. I am from Bolivia, and we have metal bands that mix andean music with metal, giving it a unique sound. And that applies to the rest of the world as well. There are no limits with metal music, anywhere in the world you go you will see a local scene that keeps metal alive with thier unique touch. Greetings fron La Paz, Bolivia!
Maybe weird, but as a Punjabi/Indian metalhead, who grew up listening to Nusrat, and became a headbanger in my teens, this always seemed natural. I'd always imagined that had I had any musical talent myself, this is the kind of sound I'd make.
Exactly! Grew up listening to metal and qawallis- it never occurred to me that they would NOT be complementary to each other. It just feels like they're just 2 ways of playing the same music. Hard to explain.
You say everything I feel watching Andre's mashups with Pakistani, Indian and Tibetan music. Andre always makes me smile. Check out his mashups with the Noor sisters. I think the mash ups work because both music styles are filled with so much passion.
We have watch all his video... And Andre did a wonderful job., we loved it.. He did quite a research before making like he didn't mess up the lyrics etc and Metal and Grand Master Nusrat fateh ali khan epic vocals blends so well👌
As a Pakistani I can't thank you enough for reacting to this!! I found out about this cover through you!! I always thought NFAK would always go well with metal and this cover has done nfak justice🤘
His video "If System of Down were from India" is also great. Partly because the Nooran sisters are so good that even an impromptu vocal performance is worth mashing up.
Ken, I don't often comment, but you need to hear Nolan Taylor. His song 68 is just now gaining traction. Its an incredible song showcasing a special talent...
Really I found Andre Antunes a real guitarist of Late Nusrat FAK of this times. I'm a native Urdu speaker but found Antunes a more native speaker than me! Thanks for your reaction also, sir!
not sure if most people realized it or not, that young man on the right side of the stage constantly getting attention from the camera is young Rahat Fateh Ali Khan himself.. if i'm not mistaken.. :)
Yeah man... It's crazy. I have this shit on my BEST OF 2023 list which includes The Rolling Stones, Queens of the Stone Age, The Hives, Metallica, Anthony Oliver and Duo Lipa... And honestly it's pretty darn close!!!
The name should be Nusrat and he was amazing (check him out without the metal :) ). You should listen to Jeff Buckley doing Nusrat. Really funny and really good.
It's no more sacrilege than e.g. Epica mixing in some western classical music into metal. On that topic, can you please do an analysis of one of the most amazing metal ballads ever, Epica's "Tides of Time", studio version?
Of course, this is just a mashup, not the original. I don't think it's a good idea to consider it a song "worthy" of a reaction to it. Original songs (or their covers) are much more interesting than mashups.
You sound like some musical elitist please stop and appreciate people for listening to our music whether it's a remix or not it's good exposure and complaining about every little thing will make people not want to view us at all.
@@Just_another_menace Unfortunately, criticism is criticism, and any form of criticism (not being selfish praise) should be an uplifting form of evaluation. If I evaluate this particular work, I do not evaluate either the original music used to create it or the musical talent of the performer who adapted the piece for his own needs. It turned out to be a complete pastiche of both. People, learn to understand what someone might mean when writing a comment.

Yeah, the young guy is the real MVP

Ofcourse, since no one has mentioned it so far, you absolutely have to check Antunes' mashup of 'Sanson ki mala' next, that's even more epic 🎶🎶🎵🥁🎸🔥
I clicked this video because i thought it was this lol
yes, and I was just going to mention it!! i completely agree!!! thats lyrically and composition wise more epic and orgasmic... you will see the level of Sir Nusrat. I guarantee it will move you into another level when you listen to it with Cc on
Whichever one is even more epic is an opinion. Nonetheless, both are epic in their own right with different pace.
Agreed, and since Andrea made "Akhiyan Udeek Diyan", it's hard to prefer either one, they're monumental.
Exactly, these compositions/mash-ups from Andre just leave me smiling. Constantly watching them since they came out.
My favourite of these mashups is 'What if System of a Down were from India' Definitely worth checking out.
That's the video that started it all 🎉
AND IT IS FROM PAKISTAN ACTUALLY
Nusrat was known for hypnotize audience by his singing
Brilliant! Love this. Thank you for reacting to it.

Oooooh, Andean metal? I'm looking that up...
Maybe weird, but as a Punjabi/Indian metalhead, who grew up listening to Nusrat, and became a headbanger in my teens, this always seemed natural. I'd always imagined that had I had any musical talent myself, this is the kind of sound I'd make.
Pick up an instrument bro it's never too late

Now, i wanna see pakistani people react to this!
We have watch all his video... And Andre did a wonderful job., we loved it.. He did quite a research before making like he didn't mess up the lyrics etc and Metal and Grand Master Nusrat fateh ali khan epic vocals blends so well👌

This was beautiful. Thank you
The genre exists. It is not new. It is called ‘Sufi Rock’. Notable exponents include bands like ‘Junoon’ and ‘Noori’.
Agreed 💯
Anyone just mentioned that Andre's videos are so well edited/composed?
As a Pakistani I can't thank you enough for reacting to this!! I found out about this cover through you!! I always thought NFAK would always go well with metal and this cover has done nfak justice🤘
Metal works with every genre.
Great music transcends language barriers. You are supposed to feel joyful listening to this song. In its literal meaning it is a joyful song.
2:18 i had the same sensation the first time i heard it, exactly the same :D
He does a lot of these they're great.
This series has "Akhian Udik dian" by NFAK (metal mix by andre), that song is much more energetic. I promise you will love that.
Yeah, this sounds so great 💜
You've got to do the rest!
They are out of this world.
I've played that video numerous times now. It's just beyond beyond!
You mustt smile to this.
It's like quantum theory meets theory of relativity 😅
His video "If System of Down were from India" is also great. Partly because the Nooran sisters are so good that even an impromptu vocal performance is worth mashing up.
Check out more of this series and u can see the influence on bands like queen and the Beatles and thanks for the shout out literally made my day
You are welcome!
Ken, I don't often comment, but you need to hear Nolan Taylor. His song 68 is just now gaining traction. Its an incredible song showcasing a special talent...
Ps that's a young rahat fateh Ali khan singing too
I'm glad im not the only one who just BEAMS with joy liatening to this
Really I found Andre Antunes a real guitarist of Late Nusrat FAK of this times. I'm a native Urdu speaker but found Antunes a more native speaker than me!
Thanks for your reaction also, sir!
The protege accompanying Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Saab is indeed Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, very young though
You got to do Andre Antunes doing nooran sisters if you liked this one , even better 👳
😂 I love Andres channel.
...it's incredible how well the combination works! ...I know one guy who would have loved this, Frank Zappa.
The best thing on youtube!
not sure if most people realized it or not, that young man on the right side of the stage constantly getting attention from the camera is young Rahat Fateh Ali Khan himself.. if i'm not mistaken.. :)
Antunes is a genius i think Zappa would approve!
So awesome❤❤❤❤❤
I love this mashup! I always listen while I'm runnig... Its perfect! lol
You should really react to the "Sanson Ke Mala Pe goes metal" by Andre. It's somehow even more epic. The composition is amazing.
Have you heard Voiceplay’s cover of Nothing Else Matters (Metallica’s original). They blew it away with this one.
Yeah man... It's crazy. I have this shit on my BEST OF 2023 list which includes The Rolling Stones, Queens of the Stone Age, The Hives, Metallica, Anthony Oliver and Duo Lipa... And honestly it's pretty darn close!!!
Legend ustad nusrat saab ji 🎶 ❤️
You have already reacted to other André Antunes mash up video, before. It looks like you haven´t recognize him.
The name should be Nusrat and he was amazing (check him out without the metal :) ). You should listen to Jeff Buckley doing Nusrat. Really funny and really good.
Check out his version of jungi from the nooran sisters
It's no more sacrilege than e.g. Epica mixing in some western classical music into metal. On that topic, can you please do an analysis of one of the most amazing metal ballads ever, Epica's "Tides of Time", studio version?
Incredible
Please if you haven’t reacted already please react to latest season coke studio you will love it so unique
So Awesome
Btw pakistanis doing this genre since late 80s....
I.e Sufi rock
I can't stop watching this😅😅
Now you need to experience the orchestral version - Orchestral Qawaali dam mast qalandar.
If only all metal had singing like this vs growling and barking
1:49 if Ron Jeremy was Pakistani
Rahat training on the job 😄
Chocolate and Peanut Butter illustrates this brilliantly
Check the band Bloodywood, you are going to have another peanut-chocolate moment. I recommend you do the “Machi Bhasad” official video.
That sounds intriguing - It has now been added to the list! Thanks for commenting!
Nusrat shab himself would have liked thia version
Bro callasicall singer bleives that. these 8 words ("saa ray gaama paa thaa nee saa") these words cover the hole music of the world .
This is like late 80's Iron Maiden lmao
please do ghost - mary on a cross
Wow..nfak the legend 🙏
Qwali is like a drug ❤nusart ali khan was boss
I wish you could understand Urdu. Urdu cannot be translated with the exact intensity and sweetness/playfulness of words.
I like the guitarist he is talent
There was no chopping up, that's original vocals. Listen to the original folk version, it's really good, too.ua-cam.com/video/SDfELfpumEE/v-deo.html
Ken it's "Nusrat" please correct that
mmm, sacrilicious
U are not supposed to stop and talk when Ustaad NFAK is singing😊
4:29 It makes me happy, because it's a perfect example of music as one of the real world-languages 🥲 (Together with love and food 😋)
Rahat Fateh Ali khan is here too young
Tabahi is better..... Run for your life is a great song
This is not Indian music
It's Pakistani :)
Of course, this is just a mashup, not the original. I don't think it's a good idea to consider it a song "worthy" of a reaction to it. Original songs (or their covers) are much more interesting than mashups.

Why am I watching someone commenting .... Whatever. Next.
Fun fact. Mast Kalendar, is referring to Alexander the Great.
No it refers to" lal Qalander" of Sindh.
