Can’t believe how much no nonsense, no bull, good info was crammed into that vid, awesome editing, awesome photography, I’ve got two Wildcat evo’s, .222/.270 love em. That’s one sweat package, a very well put together review, we’ll done sir.
I’m only an air rifle shooter but I got my hands on some blaser rifles at the British shooting show and the straight back bolt is incredibly smooth and helps keep the rifle steady. Awesome setup
As an owner of a R8 Pro Success I find this rather ugly, and since they have stretched the mechanism you need to move your hand to operate bolt. I can keep my thumb in the thumbhole all the time operating the bolt on mine. It all depends if you need 10 shot or not if you should get this over a regular R8 ultimate/pro success I guess. Buying this and use 5 shot mag does not make much sense to me.
Good review. I like the spacing of the bolt handle forward of the trigger (instead of above it on standard models). I never liked the bolt carrier travelling back so close to my face on the standard Blaser and this design fixes that. Also, faster mag changes.
Great as always . I'm waiting for the Alpha Wolf Caliber .22 FAC full video. Especially the tuning method and using the Advance part with pellets and slugs which is not in factory set .thanks
Glad that they came out with the mag option, for those that have a ultimate stock and want the option of having a mag it seams a good solution. However, it looks kind of goofy… in my opinion Alex from Akila makes a nicer chassis, for those whom care. Thanks for sharing.
great review as always Chris, you are the best reviewer of firearms anywhere. I do not like this version of the Blaser and would not buy it even if I could afford it. The forward position of the bolt in relation to the trigger would be a deal breaker for me.
I would buy one of these, but this is my observation as well. For a 10 round magazine for competitions, I think I'm sticking with my Tikka T3x CTR/UPR. I think you can manipulate it faster with the bolt right where you need it. This Blaser looks like you have to force your hand forward before cycling it back.
Superb video, as always! At 3:57 , the shots sound rather quiet. Is this from the audio, or is the suppressor so good? What suppressor are you using? Cheers & keep up the fantastic work. If you ever habe the chance , I'd be rather interessiert in your opinion on the Unique Alpine JPR-1 system.
That's up to you to decide. I wouldn't take it stalking or wild boar hunting set up as it is, far too heavy, but the modular Blaser concept is what you want to build of the various options to suit your needs and desires
@@chrisparkin431 that’s what I wanted to know, I have the R8 Pro Success but bought it before all the options, adjustable cheek piece etc were available and was thinking about a new stock, but as I hunt mainly in the hills this stock wouldn’t suit. Thanks again for the information and reply.
Great review I've been looking for a rail myself for my r8 ultimate as i find i need the scope set back the normal saddle mount has not enough movement for scope tube with rings What brand is that rail? Where was it from?

If you have an R8 and need 10 shots for a driven hunt just buy this

Sweet rifle, impressive accuracy with heavy bullet wieghts
That spring reminds me of "boing said Zebedee".
Chris another excellent review, you have convinced me that this is a rifle, I want...no I need

Great video as always I’ve got a blaser r8 in 6.5 creedmoor love the gun my stalking buddy’s think they are not worth the price
They're what 2,500-4,800 usd depending on the options

I have it.....but unfortunately they have a problem with the magasin

Great review of the rifle, would you see it as a target rifle mainly of would you use it stalking ?

Anything weighing more than 7.5lbs is too heavy for hunting in my opinion
0:14 Way better than your previous 2+1 firing trigger mag.
It doesn’t has 7mm Rem. Magnum option ( see Blaser config )- little mistake - 8.41
Not cheap, but worth it.
How do you keep getting different guns? Surely you can't get variations on your license every month lol, how is this done?
I have a dealer's licence as this and other firearm related business is my full time job
@@chrisparkin431 Ahh yes ofc, now it makes sense, cheers.
Sir what manufacturer and model of the silencer you have in your vid? Thank you in advance.
Wildcat
@@chrisparkin431 meaning no-name?
@@MrAbrek777 meaning it's a Wildcat but what models they make this week and not two years ago may well be different
Great review

Blaser, from Blaser

Thanks
Did look couldn't see one
Hopefully it will allow my scope to sit further back for eye relief
Class rifle, class review....just need a lottery win to buy one now 🤣.
Agreed, think there are far better value offerings from CZ and others.
where can I purchase I can't seem to find a dealer I' am in the USA
You will have to Ask Blaser who your nearest dealer is I'm afraid
I know man you can hear the spring trigger or something
I don't I'm going for s20 sako better be safe than sorry
It's a totally different rifle concept to the Sako so hardly worth comparing
Looks nice but there over priced these days.
Inflation has hit everything thanks to the world being in limbo for two years
Blaser rifles have always been overpriced. Just like Krieghoff
Gawd, who is it that can't cope with a cold bolt knob? Let's see you....
Try freezing your hand to cold steel hunting In Finland or Sweden late at night
