I’ve got one like it but it’s a year younger lol! An ‘81 spider 2000 also been sitting for quite some time but not quite 20 years. Glad i stumbled upon you for some tips
Fascinating, congrats on your skill and determination. I have a much appreciated 1975 CC coupe which needs care and attention but was never as much a challenge as your project. From Canberra.
All these old Fiats need to be saved. I'm restoring an72 850 Spider myself. When it's done, I may try to find a 124 like yours, a good candidate for restoration. I'm curious about parts availability. That's been a big issue with the 850, especially body panels. Good work!
Thank you! I’m having trouble finding motivation to do the body work. It’s just too fun to drive :). My neighbor had an orange 850 in his backyard when I was a kid. I tried to buy it when I was a teenager, but got denied. It took a few more decades but I finally got my lil Fiat :)
Perrrfect. I am running a 78 124. Working out the bugs as it's been sitting for about 10 years. Nothing major. Engine bushings. Drive shaft bushings. Have a couple of electrical mysteries to sort out. But the car is solid and runs well. So much fun to drive

Well thank you for your kind words. Our cars can be demanding, but they’re rewarding too.

That spider needs a full restoration. Hope you have 20k in your pocket. If not find a buyer. Please don't part it out
I actually sold that thing just a week ago.
