I grew up on Lookout Mountain as well. They are such genuinely kind and down to earth people. Such talent! I play their music often. Still one of my favs!
I met these ladies when I was 8 years old. I was at Walmart with my mother and these ladies were there signing autographs. The manager brought them to the snack bar where I was and they each took the time to speak to me even though I didn't know who they were. And they didn't just say hello they actually spoke to me and asked about me. I will never forget that because my mother could not believe that I was talking with the Forester Sisters in the snack bar LOL. It is a wonderful memory for me how they were so kind to an 8-year-old kid who was just waiting to buy an Icee
This song just opens up a nostalgic country can of wup a__ on me and I just melt to the floor! Will never get enough of it. I somehow hate it more than hell but love it more than heaven!
I saw them live on stage in Pensacola Florida in the mid 1980s. Just the four of them, a drummer, two guitar players and a fiddle. There was more talent on that stage then all of this “New Generation Country Artists” COMBINED!
Before MY 1st Wife died in 1988 in a car wreck , Her Grandfather traveled with Ralph Stanley. Every year different bluegrass and country singers would be there , well the year before she was killed I asked my wife who that was in the garden digging tatters with her Mawmaw she didn't know . Her Dad came on the porch she asked him who that was He told us The Forester Sisters we both said no . The her uncle came up and her Dad said tell them who that is with Mommy in the garden He said The Forester Sisters, we didn't know it but Her Cousin was engaged to June Forester, We were shocked.

Bocephus introducing them is a time capsule to open often.
We had it so good.

I’ve always loved this song by them!! Thank you, Van!🎶❤️🎶
Perfect song 🎵 Perfect women
Playing lead guitar is about hitting the right frets. Playing pedal steel is about hitting the right molecule.
Those gals could sing

Wow!
Their harmony reminds me of the Everly Brothers. Maybe you have to be family to get the harmony perfect. 🧸
Preach Hank…
I wish I could be in the audience of The Forrester Sisters. Are they still performing/?????
last i heard a few years ago they retired from the scene to spend more family time..which i can understand..they sure left a legacy of great music
Man they just don't make music like this anymore
I wonder if that is Wayne Hobbs on steal guitar?
It was Dave Summers, Wayne came later.
