Love it. I'm in the proses of bike camping. I have a stock x160 and don't plan on going this crazy of a trail. I going to use fork bags, saddle bag's and handlebar bags. Most likely a very light wait back pack. Extras caring is; small laptop, small external monitor, I might buy a extra x160 battery and 300-600w solar panels to charge. And very small amount of fishing gear. Any thought's or pointers not in vid ? :) PS. that was a very creepy of a trail.
Useful information, except it would have been informative if you had weighed yourself with all your gear to let us know at what point the shocks were useless. From your video, I'm shocked that I've seen Hondas CT90 loaded up with 3 to 4 times more gear do adventure rides with no issues of shocks bottoming out. Then again, the riders on the Hondas didn't weigh 250 to 300lbs. Maybe you could do a follow-up video replacing the stock shocks with heavier gage components that suit an overweight person carrying camping gear.
Great video. I live off-road in a yurt camp in Mongolia. I'm thinking of leading off-road electric tours for Surrons or equivalents. Or even eMTB's (electric mountain bikes). We have great riding in all directions right out of our camp, mostly grassy slopes, forests on north slopes, not too technical unless you want. I already did one tour with friends. No camping yet though. My own ride is a Surron Storm Bee, the full-size enduro but I might add some other small bikes (Surron X, Talaria, etc) to have the ability to lead a tour, if people don't have their own bikes. I also have an eMTB which is good fun and you get a workout. For multi-day trips we'd probably take my truck as a support vehicle with a generator and to carry luggage. Im 5'3 do you think I can use talaria sting r I'm looking to buy one next month and is the sur-ronx the same size as the talaria sting r ? If anyone can give me some feedback that would be great thank you
I’ve been stuck between takaria or sur Ron. Both are great bikes but have each pros and cons. Which do you prefer and why. Do you have the new talaria with the updated controller and throttle response I saw they fixed that issue.
I don't have a ton of experience on the Sur Ron. I think out of the box, the Talaria is the way to go, but Sur Ron has way more after market options. My friend's Sur Ron in this video is a beast. My throttle response is great on the Talaria. I've had it since this spring.

I kinda like your video till the diesel truck moment. You and your friends were in the wrong, those are not street legal vehicles and your buddy was out in the roadway. Truck driver probably shouldn’t have done that but you considered that an assault!? Seriously? How is that an assault? The guy didn’t get out of his vehicle and start to punch your friend. If Utah has that on they’re books as an assault then their as messed up as Ca when it comes to useless wuss laws. If you doing something you shouldn’t, like riding an unregistered electric motorcycle on a public road, you get what ya get. Loser mindset.
You're right. An assault charge would be heinous, but there is a law on the books that if an injury happens from rolling coal or getting too close, there's a misdemeanor charge in there somewhere. Anyway, it was an over reaction on my part, but it was still a jerk move by the truck. I don't agree with you that you get what you get when someone blows exhaust in your face, but like you said in your deleted comment, a horn honk would be appropriate. That's what it's there for. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
@@SESSIONS73 thanks for your response. I too was a little heavy on my response. I live in Ca and there are some ridiculous vehicle codes. I plan on an off grid camp with my son . We have Sur Ron’s that I have configured a solar set up to charge using my vehicles batteries as a solar bank. Your video camping enforced my desire. I will be using my truck to get into the high sierra backcountry though.
Just because a law says not to ride on the road doesn’t give the truck any right to make the situation more dangerous by blinding them. The truck is in the wrong, they are not. What the riders were doing is a victimless crime

SurRons are slightly smaller, but I see no issue with you on a Talaria. I'd say get the Talaria.
