    We have done quite a few videos from our Malaysia facility as this has become our main hub and housing location. There are a number of videos coming in the coming weeks from here but this is the exclusive access we have to the biggest supplier in Malaysia and what we come across when we visit. I never know what I am going to see and just when I think I have seen it all, one of our workers mentions something else hidden away that I missed. Don't forget to check the website available page for updates. Thanks for watching!!!

    I never get tired of seeing videos of all the different species of snakes you have. If I were 20 years younger I would be getting into it big-time. Those are some absolute beauties you have here. I can’t pick a favorite..!that story about the tiger attacks is insane; very scary stuff; those poor guys😢

    That banded wolf snake is GORGEOUS! Definitely better to have your people erring on the side of caution! Ive heard the Krait has a particularly nasty bite! Love that you showed the scorpion with her babies. A lot of folks don't realize they actually look out for their young! I don't blame the collectors for being sketched out. Tigers are a MORE than good enough reason to stay the hell out of the woods, for sure! Iam really starting to get into the Asian Colubrids. Here in the US, the native ratsnakes are nowhere NEAR the variety of colors and patterns. I swear over there the creator was drunk with a painting kit, and I mean that as high praise!

    I love how Dan always says,'No one probably likes these, but I think they're cool.' I think it's neat how he takes interest in snakes that most people might find to be low quality or basic.

      The story of my life. I like what I like…never did anything based on what other people think. I’m looking forward to the upcoming Reptile Super Show where I will be the oddball in a building full of breeders/sellers that made decisions to work with what everybody else thought was cool(but suddenly it isn’t feeling so cool anymore).

    What a lovely bunch of noodles! The first one you showed is particularly gorgeous.
    That is one heck of a story about the tiger attacks! I totally understand why those guys are scared to go out at night. Those are some BIG kitties. I don't even like to make the long trek to my car at night, and I'm only worried about the resident mountain lion around here lol. She's made all the cats, small dogs, and free range chickens in the neighborhood disappear in years past. My dog once had an accidental encounter with her. She screamed, my dog immediately went silent, and ran back into the house with a worried look on his face and eyes glued to the pet door. She's an intimidating kitty, but a dang tiger! That's a whole 'nother ballgame!

    We have been experiencing an outbreak of african swine fever that causes a drastic fall of wild boar population here, and subsequently we see a lot of tigers attack on livestock and human as well. Many of us believe that the lack of their nature prey causes tigers to attack livestock and human.

    Great video Dan,
    The scorpion species you showed is heterometrus spinifer - Giant Malaysian forest scorpion 🦂

    • @DMExotics
      @DMExotics  5 місяців тому +1

      Yes, been importing and selling these for 15 years...was trying to think of the common name because we only use latin for business. People on UA-cam don't tend to care for latin lol

    • @tonywebb8769
      @tonywebb8769 5 місяців тому

      @DMExotics yep fully agree, there are a lot of heterometrus species throughout South east Asia, the two most common are heterometrus spinifer, and heterometrus silenus from Vietnam, but to be honest out of 5 - 7 species of heterometrus, the spinifer is king lol I'm. Heading to langkawi in April. Glad you're keeping well 🙂

      @@tonywebb8769 The ones around our house are laoticus I believe

    • @tonywebb8769
      @tonywebb8769 5 місяців тому

      @DMExotics in thailand its heterometrus laoticus, a good way to tell the difference between heterometrus laoticus and heterometrus spinifer, is that heterometrus spinifer from Malaysia is glossy black aside the telson ( sting ) is nice honey comb colour, were as heterometrus laoticus is matt black I colour and the sting is dark black in colour 😀

    Had no idea about the Malaysian flavs retaining coloration through adulthood. Such a cool snake. Never see them often in the trade in the States. The slug eater you display here is out of this world.

    • @DMExotics
      @DMExotics  5 місяців тому

      Very locality based. Some from Indonesia retain some color/pattern but the ones that I was being sent did not. Vietnam and some other countries also have nice ones that retain color/pattern but most of those countries do not export. Malaysian locality can be quite colorful....they are nice.

    The Coelognathus may be common, but they are really beautiful animals :o.

    • @DMExotics
      @DMExotics  5 місяців тому

      Common snakes mostly ignored in the countries they are native to but almost non-existent in the American market. Indonesian animals are the usual source but Malaysia is not.

    someone in mayalsia there has a wild caught retic that looks kinda like a cow retic

    • @DMExotics
      @DMExotics  5 місяців тому

      People love him and his videos so I am not going to correct everything but there are many WC retics like that floating around the local reptile market in Indonesia. Most are not inheritable traits and the USA banned retic importation 8 years ago so that is why they do not come to America.

    You ever get twin barred tree snakes C. pelias?

    • @DMExotics
      @DMExotics  3 місяці тому

      Yes, we have shown many throughout the years in our videos but overall they are not a common species. In most shipments we can pull one or two. Snakes that eat lizards make people very soft buyers…snakes that eat lizards that are expensive deters even more hobbyists.
