Looking forward to hearing more from and welcoming Dr. Boyatzis to Toronto on February 28 for ICF Toronto's annual conference.

frankly he is conflating two very different matters. First, we know the brain functions and as to what areas 'fire' up (ie blood flow and electrical signals) who cares...its called neurology. There is nothing we can do to change that other than a lobotomy.....not recommended for sane people. Next, how this affects a person in a leadership role is too complex to analysis to a point where you have a single answer/approach. Psychology in all its guises is a science to study phenomenon of the human condition and of course its linked to a brain...how else is it possible to function a human being. So yes be aware if context like social activity and task activity but to conflate with blood flow to certain parts of the brain and somehow thats important to point out. So so-called brain science is not teaching us anything about leadership performance.....doh!
