Just to touch on it, flight is actually a thing that kinda never really gets touched on until literally videl and the buu saga. Chiaotzu hovers around during his tournament arc, but people just sort of... start flying in late db/early dbz, and it's never explained in-universe. It isn't until the videl stuff where toriyama goes, "Oh, right, i should probably explain this" but by that point, everyone flies.
Its kinda funny how Roshi waves it off as this useless technique, yet it is this invaluable thing learned by all of the characters. We never even see this huge revelation that others like Krillin, Yamcha, and Gohan, have learned "sky dancing" other than Goku during the Piccolo Jr fight. Roshi just never bothers lol.
I remember watching this episode and my older cousin came in and saw Gokus … and yeah he was confused af I didn’t know what to say 😅 thanks for the reaction 😂❤
I think this little encounter with Pilaf is supposed to illustrate how much stronger Goku has gotten since the beginning of the series. Back then, his strongest attack could barely make a hole in a stone wall, and now he doesn't even need to be at full strength to beat them effortlessly, even when they're in mechs.
Hi Melon Always great to see a new original Dragon ball reaction from you I think the Pilaf gang is very fun and funny but they do something really bad later in the show
Hating Mecha anime is like hating the best-quality anime. Only watch Mecha anime from the 80s and 90s. The 2000s wasn't the best time for mecha anime or now. Garren Lagann was fun but it doesn't represent the serious War dramas of the 80s or the genre as a whole. I'd recommend Mobile Suit Gundam War in a Pocket.
Considering Melon's vibe with DB I would earlier recommend Patlabor. War in the Pocket is still very much a Gundam show, and if she really doesn't like mecha, I don't think she would like a stable of Mecha like the Gundam franchise. Patlabor is mostly shenigans of silly police people, and doesn't take itself to seriously. Noa Izumi is a gem.
@@Tuning3434 I recommended war in a pocket because it can be watched as a stand-alone story, is high quality, and is short and to the point. I can always go with gunbuster or fooly cooly for something a little less serious.
Goku's pants were always ripping in OG DB which is ironic because since Z onward his pants are pretty much the only thing that never rip apart.
Melon: "Man, I'm going to have to do so much editing with this fight."
Did you know that the voice actor for Emperor Pilaf also voiced Shou Tucker in Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood?

I like that PIlaf shows up at the start, disappears, and finally returns to book end the storyline
I just loved the different names you kept labeling the Pilaf Gang XD Cosmo, Wanda, and Poof and the Baby Shark Family

Love seeing The Pilaf Gang again! You can always count on them for some good laughs!

Glad this fight wasn’t dragged out.
The next few episodes are filler, but it's a part of his training until the tournament when you see Tiein and Chaiotzu
Pilaf is just the resident dragon ball gremlin
AniMelon: He really gonna finish this fight with his dinky out
Also AniMelon: I'm just dinking of all the censorship
You won't see the Pilaf gang for a while
Yes and no
This is a weird episode to advertise the option to see the full, uncut version of 😅
Pilaf is a high roller with his Benz.

Sorry to say but this isn't the only anime that people fight with their meat out, but anyway W vid and reaction 💯
Loved how BT3 had this Robot form playable!
Love the fairly odd parents reference
Awesome video keep it up have a great day 😊
Hate is such a strong word, but I too don’t really have much of a taste for the mecha genre so I get where you’re coming from!!
I love Meis Makeup.
8:10 Isn't Bulma the richest girl on earth lol
Well, Bulma’s still in school at this point. She didn’t really own the money until mid-to-late Z.
@@JJ_R Rich kids are famously unable to buy anything.
After the wish is…. Filler. It’s ok. Tournament after that though!

Oh dear. Goku isn't anywhere near the strongest yet. There's at least 6 people stronger than him.
Tournament soon ! 😁💪🏽
