Execellent grammar and perfect English spoken ,a pleasure to listen to them when they decide to use it the proper way off course. Very underrated in my opinion , I could watch them all day instead of watching some horrible comedians of today . Well done Gareth and Norman.
@ 13 Mins , asking Hugo Myat for directions ! i wondered what he was doing these days . ( how many of you are now copying that name into a search engine to find out who i mean! :-p. No guarntee you ll find what you came for !! it is but , walking through this Dungeon , trying to survive the perils ! Take your Helmet and put it on your head , Dungeoneer, for When you return, you may be Dead ! Bit of a "Knightmare" ay ! ;-)
Preferred these over a lot of the BBC stuff at the time. The BBC comedy then was too straight laced, basic & lacklustre. & I was a kid, that's saying something.
First sketch would likely be censored today as "politically incorrect", while the very same police procedures get praised as "bold"... Talking about the problem is always held to be worse than the problem itself...
In the first sketch, that wouldn't fly these days, the woke folk would be screeching. However, if they changed it around and made it a white dude among black dudes, they would be fine with it.

Sad but true... Even thought joke is on racist cop somehow today some people would think that sketch is racist.

Of course, if that exact same sketch was actually made these days, this guy would sneer that it was “woke garbage”.
