No, and I can say that with some comfort. Is Liam Paro better than the guys Matias has fought? We don't know yet, and we won't until the fight is done. What will the parameters need to be for a Paro win, in Puerto Rico? That I also don't know only because I don't know what the judging is like in Puerto Rico, but it may influence things somewhat. Speaking stylistically though, there is one thing that I, as someone who really likes Paro (I have Australasian family, big part in it 😉) can be relying on. Subriel Matias, whilst obviously being a great athlete with a bulletproof mentality, does have a flawed Boxing style. He gets hit a ton, especially early, he's slow footed and slow handed, he crosses his feet a lot, but that's because he only cares about hitting whatever he sees with whatever leverage shots he can get, even if they're arm shots. And those guys I mentioned, whilst being excellent fighters, fought Matias in the exact kind of way that simply doesn't work, where footwork and range become nonfactors and they end up in this cyclone they can't stand up to. Liam Paro is very quick, especially his jab and left hand shots, works well long and has enough footwork to make it the kind of fight Matias may end up getting made to look bad in. Now, if I was a betting man, which I'm not, I would look to bet on two differing outcomes. I would either bet Matias by decision, just because I think Paro is mobile, conditioned and tough enough to avoid the aforementioned cyclone of hell but just getting shut out the fight, or alternatively I would bet Paro by TKO, partly because I think that he may need to stop Matias to even get a win in Puerto Rico, and because Matias whilst he's never been down he has been held up by the ropes in the past and if Paro does hurt him (which he's not incapable of doing since he is quite powerful himself) he may end up shoeshining him until the ref steps in. Personally though, I just wanna see a scrap and may the best man win 😎
