That was the final season of BB before reparations casting was officially announced and instated by CBS. Starting with BB23, for the first time in BB history, "expressly race-based" alliances were encouraged (and later heavily fawned-over) by CBS, and so 'right on cue' were quickly established/declared by the houseguests. This practice was starkly different than what societal norms in USA had long established as acceptable behavior. For decades before, any race-based clans, especially when organized for the specific purpose of competing with their perceived/targeted "rival races(s)", were considered immoral. Or simply "racist". But now, that's what BB is all about. The show has been stuck in full-on woke mode ever since, in a myriad of ways. I'm old enough that I watched the very first season when it aired, and every season after, subbing to feeds since BB6. I don't mind who's cast, but can we all play along together? Let's aim for that, CBS. They also basically stopped serving alcohol, which has been exponentially more damaging to the drama and entertainment levels of the show than everything I just complained about. If you know BB over the years, you know how alcohol has made it great. I don't drink, but I know what historically makes great reality TV. ("The Challenge" has always understood this.) Maybe people who don't see feeds don't know some of the greatest BB highlights ever, people were (crucially, according to me) intoxicated. ...Keesha's immortal birthday party would have been nothing of note, without the booze that fueled many of the key players that night. Some of the very best seasons, they drank nearly every night. Watching feeds, their nightly serving of alcohol was like flipping a switch, how it would instantly elevate the hypeness of the feeds. Irksome issues HG's were just previously only grumbling about to themselves, once alcohol was served, would suddenly erupt into glorious drama-filled shouting matches. If this season is different, I wouldn't know it. Since this is the first season I've found myself ignoring BBUSA, even though I'm still subbed to the feeds out of habit. I need to cancel Paramount.
Keesha’s laugh ruins every funny conversation for me. I’ve never heard a more obnoxious laugh. She’s a lovely person but I want her to go and Kevin to stay just so I don’t have to be annoyed while watching the feeds.
