Hunting 🐙 In Tidepools!

I hit the tide pools today and managed to spot an Octopus a couple minutes in And the battle was on.
This was the longest I ever took to catching an octopus
He Really Beat my butt .
I Should Have Brought My Gloves 🤦‍♂️

here in Hawaii, we almost tickle them outta the hole with a stick or a spear and wait till they come out, and grab it with our hands, you could try that next time and see if it works, we don’t usually stab it in the hole cuz it makes um go back in the hole and get stuck.

I have seen people do this hook method, I have also seen people use a metal rod and just poke until it comes I believe that’s I have seen someone also flooding them out with coca cola

I never used them as bait normal in my country I prefer the sand fleas crabs fresh mussels and worms

I'm surprised you do not use a type of liquid that takes the octopus out effortlessly due to asphyxiation. In Greece, most amateurs are making use of it.
