So, what I gather from this is that theres two stories here, a background narrative and a character narrative. So the character narrative is pretty simple, the character was a gate operator at Nova Nexus, there was a catastrophic event at Nova Nexus which killed everyone involved. The events of the game are him in some sort of limbo being tormented by his guilt over indirectly dooming those people to die by letting them in. The background narrative is about Nova Nexus, which is some sort of SCP style entity which collects and studies anomalous artifacts. The events of the tapes show a cascading containment breach scenario in which multiple sites are compromised and subsequently destroyed.
I'd also like to point out, that, in one of the messages in "Lockdown" that the upper people think the Geiger counters are broken, and that if the "liquid" was radioactive, they would feel it. That is literally not how radiation works. Touching something radioactive, it would feel hot. That's pretty much it. Its the reason we have things like Geiger Counters, because we can't "feel" radiation on our own.
A few secrets/interesting details I noticed: The symbols (Windings font) at 57:51 spell SIREN when deciphered into normal text. Interesting since Siren is one of the stations At 1:01:11 the name mentioned at the end is "Tansha". It's almost an anagram for Natasha (only missing an a). Natasha died in an experiment, and this note also mentions experiments. (Might be a bit of a stretch with the Anagram, but still interesting)
