Great service tutorial, going to do for my old bike this service myself. But i see in RS oil volume chart, that for spring side upper tube also must be filled with a little oil WT 15, while damper side upper tube with WT 5 oil. Dont know how much it changes forks responsivnes or something or maybe there is no much difference at all.
@ukaszsl.6242 hi, thanks for the info, however if you are going to disassemble the air assembly completely i belive there is no right order which you should remove air from.. so i think this doesn't really make a difference if you are still going to take everything apart.. but someone can correct me if i am wrong..
Why the serialnumber says that this fork is released in 2008? I have exactly the same fork as you and trying to buy the right service kit and I am so confused because the 2008 service kits seems not to fit for this fork. great video :)
I haven't looked at my serial number but as far as i know it is supposed to be 2010 fork, but i may be wrong. So i just googled oil chart for 2010 reba sl Also i didnt use service kit so i dont know which one fits
@@yoshimura45 the first 4 characters dictate the build time, 47T8 is week 47 of 2008. I believe the "2009" model was released/built from September 2008 (perhaps earlier?), this model was the same the following year too, the "2010" model.
Hi there, i just bought a bike with the same fork ROCK SHOCK Reba SL Deal Air, and telling the truth this is the first time i have one of these and i dont know how to charge with air. I bought it with pump also but as i see you charged that fork from borh sides uo and down so my question is: Do i have to charge it at the same amout of preasure based on my wheight from those both sides? For example i am 85KG wich means i have to charge it at 120-135 psi as the fork says. I want to know this charge of air should be added from both sides up and down ? thanks in advance cheers.👍
Check out my latest restoration, its worth it!

I saw that you didn't put grease or oil on the top of the air piston. The manual says to put 6ml of 15wt oil
In 2010 rebas dual air?? Did not see that in manual

-Where can i find a service kit for these forks? There seems to be many different ones, and rockshox don't even list the spare parts.
To be honest, i don't know, really depends where you live, try searching online
@@Nexmtb I have tried searching. I'm in Europe
@@jagolago-bob hmmm... maybe you can try bike24.com
@@Nexmtb Thanks. I will.
what sort of degreaser did you use?
HI, manual claims that first you should remove air from negative then next from positiwe chamber. What about this?

Add air to the top first and then the bottom? Same pressure for both too and bottom?
Yes I added first to top and then bottom, but i cant really remember exact pressures, you can find charts for pressures online
@@Nexmtb my pressures are printed on the tubes. I just couldn’t remember the order in which they get pumped up.

To be honest i don't know
P.s. thanks 👍
But the oil chart for this fork is also completly different. How you don't know? xD i am even more confused now.

Look up the rockshox manual for your fork it will tell you everything you need to know.
There's a table on my fork that says same pressure on both sides
@@Nugbikes i don’t have the manual. I bought just the bike with pump used from another guy.

How many psi should be + and - for 90 kg?
Its written on the fork.
Doing this service and not changing the wipers and seals that you distort with a spanner is just silly .The cost for new ones is minimal
