Hey Faye, I operated a mobile mechanical business for 8 years here in Australia. It gets tougher as you get older. Now I'm old and crusty! But just like you, I have a passion for caring for customers and their vehicles, motorbikes, lawnmovers, TV's, microwave ovens or whatever they need. I now teach part time at a college and run a business as well, combined with a UA-cam channel. Busy, busy, busy! Thanks for your enthusiasm for the trade and your passion for your work. Cheers MiracleMAX 😉😁
Ok, I'm a traveling marine mechanic. After watching your video here, I'm encouraged that I'm on the right path - I have the same outlook about business that you do, which is not always understood by other business owners. Thanks for the video. If you ever decide to become a marine mechanic, I have work for you! It's not all engines... You touch on a key point - talking to your customers. Treating them like people. Explaining. I really like the idea of classes. Most boat owners haven't a clue how things work. Some don't actually care as long as they do work. I happened upon your videos looking into timing belt changes for my Tacoma, which, as it turns out, doesn't have one (it's got a chain), but stayed for the general interest in your repairs. (In case I give up on-the-water work...) Once again, thanks!
I think it's great how young people are getting passionate about repairing and reusing resources and connecting with other people on a face to face situation. More power to you Faye!!
Your such an inspiration and your hard work and dedicated tenacious mind set will take you where you want and need to go. People like you are the fabric of what our country is built upon. Thank you for that. I hope you achieve what you set out for. I appreciate your honesty and true insight into your life. Stay True ✌❤
Mobile mechanic here also. Going on 3 years now. Was super scared to pull the trigger and start the business but glad I did. I work in a different field though. I'm an CNG technician for big fleets and whomever needs their natural gas vehicles fuel systems serviced. Keep up the good work.
You should do a toolbox tour of what Tools usually carry with you what kind of insurance do you have or need to do this kind of business because this is what I’ve been thinking about doing
The insurance requirements in most states are none; however, if you intend on working with vehicles in which the average cost for parts exceedes what you are comfortable paying out of pocket for damages then you should mpst definitely get a ln insurance package that would cover said costs. In consumer repairs you will typically find that most errors you make will be corrected by yourself and from your pocket. That being said most damages that warrant insurance claim will typically be the cost of your insurance premium .... but having insurance will save you always.
I have 2 girls coming up and I keep telling them to have their own business for their own peace of self. Your video was an inspiration of self worth. We subscribed.
We have an 11 year old girl. If you take a look at my videos, you might see her in a few. I try to expose her to many things. You know what's fun. When she takes one thing, and applies it to another! That's when I know she's understood what I'm showing her! Oh, new sub here!
Not sure how I found the channel but I'm not too late....and after watching a few videos I'm getting hooked. Knowledge, style, beauty all in one. Keep up the great videos!

This world needs more of what you offer. Please take this seriously when I say you are a HERO OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY!!!!! Please don’t stop doing what makes your heart happy.
I also love working with customers, when they come in and their car isn't running and they're stressed out and they don't understand why and you're able to go look this is why this does this ,this is why that does that, and when you're done they're smiling and they understand so much and you just make their whole day you make their whole week the whole year they're so happy that they've got somebody that knows what they're doing and when you're all done there just so happy that is the best feeling of all in that what makes the job worth doing !!!!😁😇
I feel less alone in the universe🤗 😂 you remind me of myself to hear the excitement in your voice when talking about cars lol! Awesome video! I'm fighting myself about starting out on my own. But you makes me a little less scared.
I've honestly thought about doing this when I get out of the military. Always wanted to open up a shop or a mobile mechanic shop. Keep it up and great video!
You are not awkward, your original, passionate about your love for people, there cars and the connections between them. I think you and what your doing is great and amazing. Remember the old saying, if you love what you do, you will never work a day of your life. Keep it up.

I usually would swear working on cars, I love that you laugh and get excited when something disconnects as when you dropped the transmission in your VW.I was nervous watching that one . I once had a Ford C6 from a 64 Thunderbird bounce off my leg when the guy holding the front let go . Was happy to see you strap yours to the jack.
Your awesome teaching mechanics to women is great. Keeps women from getting scammed and just adds to knowledge is power. Keep up the great work from a fellow 210er😁
You are proof that whatever one does, if you genuinely love it and have a passion for it you will always be successfull at it. Listening to you one can hear your passion for what you do, so people will naturally take trust in you to fix their cars. 👍😎👌

Faye, totally awesome that you are a mechanic. When I was in college in the north east I started doing mobile mechanic work, because I loved working on cars. Not having great tools, the freezing winters, and butt kicking rust on every nut and bolt was too much of a challenge for me to earn enough to make it worthwhile. I still have a passion for wrenching on vehicles. 25 yrs later, I now have great tools and live in the no-rust south west so I am spoiled. Some days I think about ditching my engineering profession to open a shop to help people. I wish more women followed your path to become auto techs. I hope your subscriber list grows exponentially and you can start monetizing your videos to help supplement your income. If anyone reads this, please subscribe to help Faye become rich and Fayemous on youtube.
What I admire about you is that you are YOU!! You are real and people see that!! What I hope is that young people will see you and realize that if they stay true to themselves and follow there passion success will come. Great video, Faye!!
You are my idol!! I drive a semi for a living, have an El Camino that I've had on the track a couple of times, and I learned to drive when I was 10 years old, but I wish I knew more about engines and everything car-related. Looks like your business is growing and you well-deserve it. Thank you for letting us see your work and get to know you.

I am a amateur mechanic and I just started to work on my car few months ago and I would DEFINITELY love to take one of your classes.
Wow, incredible video. I love how down to earth and easy going you are in this video. You are very inspirational. I hope you become a millionaire from you craft.
I’m currently in the process of researching how to turn my dads garage into a legitimate business so we can file deductions for taxes and stuff. This video gives me motivation. Keep it up I love the energy
you are absolutely nuts in a very very good way I am totally in awe of you and you should be very proud of yourself thank you so much for being you and yes you do ramble lmao
Dame, I just realized your from San Antonio , that's so Awesome. I've been watching your videos for about a week and I'm really impressed. I also am an Automotive Technician... Mobile Mechanic... I love doing this every day... I hope I meet you in person one day, your amazing.. keep up the good work 👏
You're awesome!!! Seems like a mobile mechanic would have a lot less overhead. Rent is expensive. Especially commercial property. You don't have to store any vehicles either. It's also way more convenient for the car owner because they don't need to drive anywhere.
Terje Oseberg But working with n the ground compared to a nice rack sucks. I know!!! So you’re also limited on some of the things you can do. Which may be a good thing. You have to bring all your heavy tools everywhere you go. Wear and tear on a truck and the gas. Even all that, still ok. My issue would be the customer hovering all over me making trying to focus and do the job harder.
@Faye Hadley - you’re a delightful and well-spoken person. I find your videos intelligently composed and delivered; always informative and helpful. Makes me - a 67 yr old man - wanting to turn my own wrenches more and more. It helps to have an energetic and knowledgeable neighbor (he’s 73) who does all his own mechanic work. I help him; he helps me and Faye - you are the inspiration to get to know my cars better. Just bought a well-maintained ‘06 Tacoma PreRunner with 106K miles in January! Too bad you don’t live in the Houston area. Thanks for all your hard work and generosity in sharing what you know/do!
Very good talking points. Aren’t all us mechanics awkward af if we’re not talking about cars. Hahahahaha. That customer connection is exactly why I stay hungry. Stay after it. Love following your journey.
Love your enthusiasm for cars! I'm a car geek myself and wish that I had a mechanic that is as passionate as you. Unfortunately I have never found any mechanic as enthusiastic as you. Keep up the good work.
Mobile mechanic is a good business model. You sound like you’re figuring out what works for your market. Eventually outfit a van or truck with all your tools and parts and you’ll be set. Have a small shop also to work on bigger projects and work when the weather is bad. You’re an inspiration for young ladies everywhere! Wish you were in my area so I could have my daughter meet you and attend your classes.

Starting up my “Mobile Mechanic” business right now. I’ve worked on vehicles for the last 25yrs for fun but with COVID making me lose my regular job I figured now would be the best time to try and invest in myself. Thank you for the little insight on what it takes to get started
Doing what you love everyday is the best! Very happy for you and love your videos. I'm not a mechanic but I work on my old Lexus RX300 a lot and love the satisfaction of fixing things myself so you are a great inspiration. Thanks!
You are so passionate, different and real, I'm thinking your camera persona and personal one are very different. I love your rambling automotive essays, they are amusing and informative! Wish you were in North Texas!
I absolutely love this channel and think you are awesome, Faye! Im a self employed Plumber/Gasfitter in canada and I feel the stuff I work on speaks to me the same way vehicles speak to you. I very much agree that these trades are our callings. You are a very awesome person with some really cool viewpoints and your mechanic skills are awesome! I agree with you 1000% I love working on cars and really want to start a mobile business. To see someone around my age doing it inspires me. Thank You
Wow, I'm so glad!:)
Keep it up I love the energy
you are absolutely nuts in a very very good way I am totally in awe of you
and you should be very proud of yourself thank you so much for being you
and yes you do ramble lmao
andy large ...but it's a good ramble
Dame, I just realized your from San Antonio , that's so Awesome. I've been watching your videos for about a week and I'm really impressed. I also am an Automotive Technician... Mobile Mechanic... I love doing this every day... I hope I meet you in person one day, your amazing.. keep up the good work 👏
You're awesome!!!
Seems like a mobile mechanic would have a lot less overhead. Rent is expensive. Especially commercial property. You don't have to store any vehicles either. It's also way more convenient for the car owner because they don't need to drive anywhere.

But working with n the ground compared to a nice rack sucks.
You are the Rosie the Riveter of today. I show my niece these videos to inspire her to be a great woman like you.
Faye awesome job, keep up the work the reward will come big. Big shout out from Austin.
Love your enthusiasm for cars! I'm a car geek myself and wish that I had a mechanic that is as passionate as you. Unfortunately I have never found any mechanic as enthusiastic as you. Keep up the good work.
You even have your own service reminder sticker! That's legit
You may be the greatest thing hitting the Auto world.... Genuinely an awesome person.... BiG ups for us awkward people, your laughter and smile is infectious...
I cant watch no more....🤣🤣🤣
But yes I did Subscribe... keep up the work.. work hard play hard... the hustle is the best part
Love u man...i just retired, started 1980,2 dealerships!! Omg and love what u do! Keep on keeping on
Love the video , and love the quirkiness even more. You're awesome Faye. You've inspired me to make my own response video now. You're right about the loss of customer interaction as well. It's something I miss terribly
:)) I am looking forward to your response video!!! And thank you so much!
Did you make the video?
Nice that you provide service like you do...you have a great spirit around you it shows and so exciting. Never stop recording what you do and learn.
Your awkwardness is kool. Keep doin what u do.
Wow your stupid to say something like that....
@@jessesiordia7966 And your a jackass for saying something like that. Go get a sense of humor. The 25 likes the orginal commenter has against your 1 proves me right.
I stumbled upon your video about when you were getting Grim and then just started watching a bunch in a row. Subscribed!!! Your insight and knowledge is fantastic and helpful and your personality is infectious! Wait, there a chicken!!!! Keep doing what you are doing and I wish you nothing but luck and no drama with your business!!!
i luv the mobile mechanic concept, like mobile super heroes, very cool, thx
Starting up my “Mobile Mechanic” business right now. I’ve worked on vehicles for the last 25yrs for fun but with COVID making me lose my regular job I figured now would be the best time to try and invest in myself. Thank you for the little insight on what it takes to get started
I've been thinking about mobile heavy equipment mechanic for the farmers where I live, cool video
Doing what you love everyday is the best! Very happy for you and love your videos. I'm not a mechanic but I work on my old Lexus RX300 a lot and love the satisfaction of fixing things myself so you are a great inspiration. Thanks!
Good on you, Don’t know how you do it. I’d always hit road blocks not having all of my tools at my disposal.
Lots of on-the-fly problem solving FOR SURE haha :) Thank you!!
Best Oil Change Sticker I have ever seen. Keep Up the Hustle Faye.
thank you!!!
Great stuff, Faye. You are a smart operator.
I wish I had my own garage space simply because I want to paint the walls that awesome purple! Keep up the good work.
You just gained a new subscriber. Keep the great content coming.
You are so passionate, different and real, I'm thinking your camera persona and personal one are very different. I love your rambling automotive essays, they are amusing and informative! Wish you were in North Texas!
Awesome! Wish you all the success
I hope you are successful in your business and I wish you much hapiness in your career of doing what you love. This channel is so awesome and i'm really happy i found it! You rock!
I'd buy Faye-merch, were it available.
Hearing you be passionate about having your own business is superbly awesome to hear...
Awe man miss ya Faye! Glad you’re doing well down in San Antonio. Love the vid, keep up the great work!
Thanks for your honesty and being real. Really enjoying your enthusiasm about cars and life!
Your such a beautiful young woman with the right attitude and motivation to succeed. Your sure to do well!
Your personality is infectious and obviously a boost for your business.
I am impressed, keep it going. Maybe you can adjust my carbeurators on my Z.
Wow! Faye, I've been wearing my shirt from last job, it's got the Alfa Romeo, Citroen badges and now worn out at elbows. Been mobile too, the two down sides are crappy weather and time in traffic.
Who dares give thumbs down to this great information🤔, and beautiful and smart tech .
HAHA most likely its those who wish they could be brave enough to start their own business?? And I am a reminder to them of how they have failed themselves?! lol
@@paulgearingengineering seeing how that is entirely irrelevant to my channel, I am sticking with my previous response: that the poor souls are triggered. Sigh. So sad. But it says a heck of a lot more about them than it does about me, doesn't it?
@@FayeHadley A wise old man told me once "don't argue with fool , cause from far away people can't tell who's who"! If they are here to criticize you is because your doing something better than they are. You have a great personality. Keep up the great work. 😉
Great video.
I’ve worked out of high school at a dealership doing bank/Dmv/shuttle/prop.main/vehicle cleaner- until it was bought out.
I loved every minute, also helped mechanics when needed; never seen a mechanic like yourself so enthusiastic about the teaching aspect. I believe that’s why you’re definitely a stand out.
Good trustworthy mechanics are hard to come by.
Awesome back story; I knew there was more to you then All girls garage-
Keep up the good work and being a role model to our young and old.👍🏻
