Still rocking my KP3 from like 2009. Such an immersive piece of kit. Stoked to still see Korg expanding so deeply on the KAOSS line. Matt, your spotlight here is masterfully executed, congrats on an excellent job. Your endless hours of educational content have been a gift, and this is a pleasant surprise. I'd be really happy to own this product.
As a Kaoss Pad user since 2006, I'm really intrigued by this. This is really an "improvised live performance" powerhouse. You can definitely play entire sets with this.
This thing is overpriced
Why would you call two distinct faders a crossfader?
Because that way you could also use both faders for whatever purpose unlike a X fader which reduces and increases volume respectively
@@grandmasterjo1 Yeah, I get why there are two faders. That makes sense. But why call it a crossfader when it is clearly not a crossfader? Sure, you can manually do a crossfade with two hands and some skill. Should we start calling all faders on all mixers crossfaders? 🤔
I am not so sure if they actually call it a X fader
It’s a signal level where you can play signal A or signal B or signal A+B
Would you pay $1000 ?? 😅
I have the KP3 but I think the Kaoss replay is an ultra sophisticated KP3
Should have been priced at $ 549 ❤
@@grandmasterjo1It's within the first minute of the video you're commenting on.
@@CEMeierapologies
It’s not my video and yes Ezbot did mention about the two X faders in the first minute.
Ezbot is a friend and I will renquire with him why did he call them 2 X faders.
I will forward you his reply. But yes as a DJ I would not call it a X fader and neither did Korg.
Thanks for the update 👍
A very sophisticated KP3 👌
This is really dope
Hello, I wonder can you set up with an external sequencer using CC the 1-12 hot cue marks and play it back per sample (trigger pad) on the hot cue mode?
“Look at all the loopers” 😂
does it replace the octattack?
... better in live sample mangling?
Was interested until I saw the price. Cannot justify purchase anywhere close to RRP.
It's not surprising that korg makes hot sauce but it's always missing something and yeah I'd rock it so whatever
£1000 pounds only sad part 🤘
All effects in the bank are nice to have but a modern day € 1.000 sampler needs an onboard sequencer.
What about the RCA I/O?! For 1k I want grown up I/O too!
This thing can't sequence?
Yeah for that far higher price than any KP before it, it needed to have more than RCA i/O. Absolutely should have a sequencer too but that should be possible to add in an update, whether they do it or not, but can't do anything about it STILL just being RCA, and that's what REALLY is pretty unbelievable and really exasperating in a new, flagship, $1,000 Kaoss Pad. WTF? Unbelievable.@@Snaggletoothsound
Damn I was into this until I've seen there is no sequencer. This could have been so much fun and been interesting to compare against other ahem...similar looking hardware out at the moment.
Let's hope they add it in a firmware update... I'm not confident though, based on Korg's track record of updating their products!
@@rorz999 I wonder why Korg decided to go after Pioneer with this product and market it poorly. Now they get tons of flak from the groovebox users, who aren't the target demographic.
And no cross fader.
Super practical overview , just wish there was assignable multi effects , for the unit as a whole, and to different sample pads. Then if the components of an effects patch , could also be spread across the pads for re triggering and sequencing the effects. So multi effects on the pads are sequenced like a moods mk2 effects pedal.
Korg has the best effects hands down. I find this piece of equipment useful using an external sequencer and sequencing along the synths. Well done 👌
But it doesn’t have sequencing. At least for now.
It’s our mang Ezbot!!!
Ezbot ?!!? Korg choose the good guy :)
Nice but... no sequencer...
I want the three hour b-roll of you just having a blast with the vocal effects!
haha, it was a good time :)
This thing is OP. An instant classic!
No sequencer😂
Release an update with a sequencer.
Just....Take my money.
Ezbot is an Elektron guru so I listened, and bought the KAOSS as a result.
I don’t have one. I don’t need one. But I watched this excellent review because it’s absolute quality. So clear, so concise and mostly demo with perfect amount of talking/instruction
can you connect this to my mixer Xone96 and use it during my dj sets?
are the songs played around 4:54 and 5:03 released somewhere?
I. CAN'T. WAIT. 🤩🤩🤩
RIP 404
If you say sooo 😂😂 🤷🏾♂️looks like a great little sampler for sure but for the price I really doubt many will sell their MRk2 for this.
Why does everything have to be killer ? They said the same thing about the mpc a few years ago. And besides it’s $1399 us dollars more like a pocket killer if you buy it…
For 1399 no mic preamps… straight smoking that good stuff….
This thing isn’t even better than koala sampler
@@supermcfly100 agreed….
sp-404 mk2 killer! bravo
😄
Not for $1399…
Not at all ;)
It has no on board sequencer. 🤣🤣🤣
Sorry, but I think to qualify as a “404mkii killer” you have to at least do the basic job that the 404 does.
Anything hoping to be a “ killer” does everything that does, but better with more options and usually at a competitive or better price.
