Right this moment I'm crying my eyes out 😭😭 it's so painful bearing this alone... depression and anxiety overwhelming 😖. homesickness such a awful feeling. ..probably because I'm mostly alone with my thoughts and insecurities 😭😭

I can understand and empathize for sure. I came to US 23 years ago.. and no, there was no Skype then :) In fact internet was something you accessed only at school! India call used to cost $1.25/min so calls were limited to 10 mins, every alternate week. Plus there were not many Indians back then so it was hard. The good news is that you will get over it. The bad news (or better news depending on your perspective) is that eventually you will feel like a foreigner in India. 2 weeks is the maximum I can live in India. After that I get homesick and cannot wait to get back to US!! SO hang in there and God bless!

The things you spoke about friends, money and proper thinking is very true! Can make a whole lot of difference.
As you said 10 years ago or so there wasn’t WhatsApp calling or any sort of a thing and people used to do masters abroad even then, considering all those things we are extremely lucky, just pick the phone up and you have a million apps to do video call and literally see the person. We take things for granted that’s for sure.

But the problem is I don't have good friends 😪
Surprising how you find time to study along with YouTubing etc. Plus I think the problem I see with Indians studying abroad is they do not try to make friends from the country they are studying. They always try to stick with the other Indians and only go to India restaurants. My advice would be to make local friends, go out more and learn the local culture. You won’t feel depressed.

I can't make it out, I am just living 15 days and today I went to a doctor because I fainted crying, and my surroundings are not too good my friends are at their homes with families and I live alone in a room. I feel extremely homesick. Can you please help me out.

Truth, such truth! Parth you are hitting on some tough realities because the struggle really is real for international students in America. Many come to pursue the American Dream but will quickly realize it’s not what they dreamed up. Good tips on how to deal with the stress!

Currently I am experiencing homesickness and loneliness as I am on my internship at IISc, I think your video has helped me a lot.(especially those 10 quotes, I have taken screenshot of them). Parth I too understand homesickness, struggles and depression very well as I have been living away from home in residential school since the very beginning. But, the thought that my parents have strived so hard to bring me to that platform helps me overcome all the emotional setbacks.

2) how and where to book flight tickets, and how to know whether transit visas be required or not??

2) don't know where but if your layover is greater than 8 hrs then a transit visa is required.

Bro what are the chances of an Indian students to get less than 3 GPA ?
If the chances are lower, what helps students the most to get around 3.5 GPA or more than that ?
It’s very rare to get a gpa below 3.0. Once you get into the flow of things you’ll adapt. Also choose courses that you think you can manage and adapt to well. I’ve really never seen anyone getting below 3.0.
