I’m Kenyan 🇰🇪, and born in Baltimore, MD and grew up with my dad and mom playing Kikuyu, our native tribe’s music, Swahili of course, and Lingala music originating from DRC all the time 🇨🇩‼️ The way the girl was dancing she is definitely Congolese; she had that rhythm in the more than the guy for sure and did this dance justice🫶🏾‼️‼️💯 The guy on the other hand was trying to keep up, mind you he did well, but just by watching his dance to Lingala music he’s definitely Liberian💯.
I am a Trinidadian African black woman and I am proud of the positive energy African people have. Let that positive energy be the foundation of your union. God bless you two.
My favorite choreographed bridal party entrance. The song is amazing and so is the dancing. Liberian girl bringing it in heels and the Congolese guy doing his thing 💃🕺🔥🔥🔥🔥
I’m Congolese and I must say, ha! This one, ha! Well done! Y’all danced well 👏🏾 he surely had her back, if not she was going to fall for sure..her energy in em heels though! Ha! Well done! I give it to you guys. Ha!

Beautiful display by the newly married. The Congolese do he has any root with the great Igbo tribe of Nigeria. The outfits he is wearing is typical Igbo cultural attire, dotted with Lion heads. We call it Isi~Agu for the braves. Congratulations
Just wanna say if it's beautiful no matter what culture. Copy and paste. Ya Nigerians they really make me proud with showcasing their culture. A lesson for us other Africans.
@UCC5Mmk0KThw7G75bOeGJX2A it's unfortunate you couldn't read and understand what I wrote in simplest English before hauling insults which merely reflects your level of intelligence. Re-read my write up and compare your response to it, then figure yourself out if you could.
Yes congolese people embrace alot of other African cultures especially traditional dresses from west Africa. The igbo attire is also dressed alot whenever Congolese people want to feel Nigerian.but In this video I think the husband is Nigerian. @Fahari Achinda no need to get upset. The man was showing appreciation of their culture being welcomed in other African countries. Relax ge meant no evil.
What is the significance of the Isi Agu dress worn by the guys as it seems none is Nigerians? ??? Is any of them Igbo from Nigeria? Great dance though. 👍🏾
It’s an African attire. Period. People from different parts of Africa wear that. Yes, it might have originated in Nigeria but so what’s wrong with other AFRICANS admiring and embracing it? Remember that we were one before the colonizers came and divided. They might have succeeded in putting boundaries and gaslighting our existing disputes but the cultures and most of the traditions remained. This video is a beautiful wedding entrance performance by a beautiful African couple. Let’s appreciate that they are beautifully clothed in African attire instead of trying to figure out which country is the founder of the fufu dish that most Africans eat. Be blessed 😇
Kedu ife neme? They may have Igbo lineage for all we know, but does it matter? It is a compliment when one imitates another, and a happy thing. Congratulate and wish them well on their happy occasion, and it will come back to you.

When the Congolese music came on the groom suddenly hit it!🤗🥰I always the Congolese are the kings and Queens of dance.
Without a doubt
Always
As a Ghanaian, I agree 100%! There's something too magical about that Congolese Sokouse guitar.
